What’s the point? Seriously? If we’re challenging next year then would anybody be dead excited about the prospect of getting twatted every week, and playing the ickle tiny fishy in a mahoosive pond card all the time? Coming back down by Christmas with the powers that be saying we’re skint again. Sitting through games finishing at 6pm because VAR is desperately trying to find fault with something we’ve done, or trying to give the benefit to the big fish. Watching MOTD take the piss repeatedly. Where do I sign?

At least them seasons have seen their respective teams playing decent football, winning plenty and competing for promotion football. That’s all I ask for to be competitive We went into the Premier League with those prices. OK how about Shrewsbury, early bird prices in the cheap cat. B seats this season would have cost you £310. Leave it late till June 24th and they set you back £400. As I said, spoilt rotten! Just looked it up. £342 for a seated season ticket at Harrogate Town this season. £274 at Darlington. Barmy

Reasons - they’re sick of all the kick-off time changes; 3pm on a Saturday is the proper time and also VAR. Taken all the fun out of a goal as you don’t know whether to cheer or just wait silently until VAR gives it!

I was up from Lincoln on Tuesday night and when I saw the prices for your season tickets/cards I was gobsmacked as we've just been told that if we renew ours at Lincoln City it will be £349 although concessions over 65 are £244. Honestly I know it has been said on this thread about other clubs and their prices, but I really think you have got an amazing bargain offer there and fair play to your club for trying to get bums on seats. After Tuesday's game, and with City not having a game on Saturday, I may try and get up again although the £30 for matchday tickets isn't quite the value of your season card offer

Because if you say you can only attend say half the games at £30 a crack it’s better to get a ST. Makes sense .

Definitely 8 games at £30 is £240 so even if you can only attend half the games it is worth it if you can deal with the initial expense in one go.

I think a few clubs have cottoned on to this policy, it works better if you’ve got a large stadium and won’t sell out unless priced well. Unfortunately this is a poor area where wages are not great, we have a good fan base very loyal but we have a large quantity of fans who will happily attend 10 to 15 games due to various reasons this system works for us, match day revenue goes up as does short sales etc. While clubs like Wigan ( similar ST price) they don’t have the fan base .

I totally agree with that and for the club to get a good sum of money in early is a bonus too although I appreciate it is nothing compared to some of the other revenue.
Like you say if you have a large capacity stadium then trying to get season card numbers up even at very good prices makes sense especially as it increases matchday revenue as you also said.

I think this is the problem with lower league ST prices below the championship. TV money is not enough So Gate money is more relevant so ticket prices sometimes can be more in the lower leagues, it’s killing football as new fans don’t see the value for money in watching your local teams.

I'd agree with that, but we have a 10,000 capacity ground and have been selling 6,500 season tickets at £349 for adults in the last few seasons as we had some bloody good managers who seem to have disappeared In truth I can't knock Lincoln City really as most games are very close to capacity so it makes sense to sell at a high price (supply and demand I guess!) It'll be interesting to see what our season ticket sales will be like for next season as we've struggled to consolidate, but should be safe enough to stay in League 1. I do realise we are one of the exceptions, not the rule though.

I think their has been a finance deal available , though probably meant the season tickets were a bit more expensive.

Bit of a random point but the new finance company being used are a lot better to deal with than Zebra finance

My husband has just received the paperwork for the Derby County season tickets - £522 for him alone! And that's as a season ticket holder for more than three years, if he was a new one it would be £599. I know we don't do discounts for OAPs but his uncle's OAP ticket at Derby is £340, his mum gets a cheaper one because she's turned 75 but hers will still be £314.

When a club is riding high has your club as been for a few seasons ticket prices can rise as fans are more desperate to attend your capacity meant it was possible if you didn’t have a ST it could be difficult to get a ticket, it’s when you get a prolonged run of bad seasons that’s when ticket prices are hard to sustain at top prices. HTFC have had a great 3 seasons and the club probably could have doubled in price thankfully they didn’t. Me personally I think anything more than 300 is too much but I cant attend all matches due to work ( we all have our limits - everyone is different).

Football is becoming a sport which is slowly killing itself, keep taking away the competitiveness of the game and slowly you lose more and more fans. I try not to think about it and take each game as it comes because if you don’t you start to lose the will.

Just had a wild 'oh what the hell' moment and renewed online. This of course means relegation is now nailed on...*
*in context, I'm the bloke that a month or so ago picked up a nice little cheap week away for early June....................in Italy.

Highly unlikely if theres still anywhere near the travel and social gathering restrictions currently being put in place by Italian govt, just wouldnt have the freedom of movement that would make it an enjoyable break. Have to wait until it either goes into regression or its so bad the flights get cancelled and I can claim some money back.

I have renewed but I wonder how many people are waiting to see what the effect of this Corona virus are before renewing?
Would we be due a refund on missed games this season??
