Went in to renew mine and my boy’s season cards yesterday. He’s turned 18 since the last one and will be going to uni in September and I noticed there is no special rates for students and it’ll have to be an adult one! Wouldn’t mind so much but he will only make 1/4 of all next season’s games being away from home. Decision time, do I part with £249 for the handful of games he can get to and reserve his seat? And it’s not only next season but the 3 after also. Seems a bit harsh. Yes, if you can afford it then definitely worth it to have the time together.

If he's at his insurance choice he'll get to most except evening games. I've renewed because it keeps our seats together (and there are 6 of us altogether).

Best thing I did when mine went to Uni was NOT renewing.
It helped to encourage him to grow up and live independently and get some new interests with new friends to fill his time, and join a sports team etc.
Having an excuse to come home every other weekend would have made things very different during this first year (although he has been home maybe every 4 to 5 weeks...and luckily timed his last trip just right with the message about going away from face to face learning towards online coming out just before he set off back).
They’re all different though...you know your own kids.

They’re all different though...you know your own kids. I think every kid is different,,and eventually MOST kids grow up and get their own independence, but time with your kids is precious so no decision on this front is right or wrong. Sometimes kids grow up too quickly they have their whole adult life to be grown up. I’m actually going to enjoy spending more time with my kids in this strange environment that we are in and it should be a big wake up call for us all that time with those we love most is priceless.

Is anyone actually renewing at the moment? Just looked at the Town website and it still quotes Sean Jarvis's advice!
I would renew if I thought a) we will actually be playing next season b) that attendance at matches will be allowed and c) if not, I get my money back.
Bloody difficult situation the club are in, I want to do the right thing to support them, but that does not include sending my £249.00 into a bottomless pit.

Not worried one bit about keeping my £249 in my account, after all if they are in such a mess I guess Dean can delay £5m from the parachute payments to cover it!

...and then I think of the money we must still be (or will soon be) paying to Mbenza & Diakhaby.....

I renewed last week £498 for our 2 Season Cards. Appreciate the uncertainty but Town has been the one constant in my life for so long I just feel better knowing that our seats have been reserved.

We parked next to him at Blacker Hall Farm Shop last week. £5 for a small Apple Pie! I won’t be persuaded to go there again.

Second payment taken last week. I'll have the next non season paid for before this non season is not finished.

Then don’t 🤷♂️🤣 “Your seat” is safe to renew in the future as the deadline has been extended until the position becomes clear. And if you have bought a season ticket, the T&C have ALWAYS been that you can cancel/return it for a full refund before the first match of the season is played. You’re making a panic/concern where none needs to exist. It seems to be catching 🤷♂️🤣

Mark Devlin is thanking fans ( on club website) today for renewing Season Cards despite not knowing when next season will start. Interesting comments from him and does drive home the financial problems currently being experienced by the club.

That's bloody extortionate.

£1 in Morrison’s for a large apple pie and they are nice. £5 quite simply pulling your pants down .

Not concerned either, other than to do the right thing to help my club. Seems like I am just helping people all over this thread today. Thank me later. 😉 #HereToHelp Edit - But thanks for the heads up about T's&C's, great bit of info....must have been a thrilling read?😂

Sliced cooked meat half inch thick, massive tea cakes and the sweet stuff oh, the coconut jam slice is to die for! Blacker hall lovely inside but aimed for the customers with the larger Budget. Lovely hot pork butty with cracking and apple sauce mind

Not me Would be nice if they published a list of winners. They were announcing them before the sh** hit the fan. Me bringing it up orginally was said with a little bit of tongue in cheek!
However, the tweet above was the last winner announcement before the proverbial hit the fan and the supposed remaining list of prizes apparently are:
1. Lunch with the Cowleys at PPG Canalside, the Club’s Training Ground – one winner for four people* 2. Meet the team at Training – one winner for four people* 3. Signed replica home shirt to be presented at half-time by a player or former player at a game of the Club’s choosing* 4. Signed away replica shirt to be presented at half-time by a player or former player at a game of the Club’s choosing* 5. Tickets and Coach Travel for four supporters to Reading away on Friday 10 April 2020 – (one winner) 6. Tickets and Coach Travel for two supporters for Sheffield Wednesday away on Saturday 18 April 2020 - (one winner) *dates and fixtures to be agreed
I would think that this will all go by the board now.

I renewed for last season (2019/20) but only went to 4 games..I had difficulty transitioning from PL to shit Championship football so lost a bit of interest (plus I was away for 10 games)..I haven't renewed for 20/21 season because I'm still annoyed at the club for making such an utter balls up of things...everyone has now left anyway, Wagner, Hoyle, all the decent players...it's just not the same..Sounds a bit like i'm not a "proper fan" but hey ho, after 60 years of watching Town I should be immune from the disappointment, but I'm not...I only got over the 1971 relegation season when we won in the play off final against Reading..
