Hunter, Cherry, Charlton - not a good year for Leeds. Shocking year off the field, legends all. Hope they are smiling down on us for remaining games. RIP

RIP Big Jack - first European Game, I attended LUFC V Bologna - 1966/67. Recall him playing for England v Scotland, when he was badly injured, in the first half. Typical Jack stayed on & played second as a striker, scoring a goal late on! Jack was a great player & great manager.

I liked ‘Big Jack’.
No nonsense centre half and a no nonsense manager.
Had a great playing career at Leeds and was a great manager and character with Ireland.
RIP Big Jack.

R.I.P. big Jack, a guy with legs like a giraffe or Bambi, but with the football brain of a giant.

Everytime I think of Jackie Charlton he reminds me of a old mate of mine who sadly past away a few years back, he nicknamed himself 'Big Jack (Burgin)' in honour of his favorite player........both enjoyed a pint or two RIP.

What a great life he had as far as his football career goes. Lots of memories of him as a player from when I was at school. Always prefered him to his brother (despite hating both of the clubs they played for!). A phenomenal record he set with his appearances on the field for Leeds. That'll be there forever. RIP Jack.

Jack Burgin the bowler at Lockwood Con? Wasn't he a top level bowler who passed away very young?
