If we are going to run a B team and Carlos is all he is cracked up to be, then I think we should be giving Reece Brown a chance if he is willing to put in the hard yards, including the gym work. From memory, wasn’t there a ? on his willingness to hit the gym for strength work? I'd be inclined to sell, clearly a reason he wasn't wanted by 2 managers, its absolutely key we get some good characters in and we need some spending money. No time to be nursing egos and giving people 2nd and 3rd chances, just take the money. Maybe whoever scouted him will be keen for him to get another chance. Hopefully it'll be down to Carlos to decide although he wont really have anyone to ask who's worked with except for Clements maybe. From what I saw of him in pre season he'd have done more than Pritchard did this season

I don't understand how someone can have the privilege to be a pro footballer and have a bad attitude. Complete waste.

Quite a random one but another to add to the mill... Omar Bogle!
He was prolific at Grimsby in 2017 but has blown hot and cold since playing in the Championship/L1 in the last 3 seasons. Just been released by Cardiff and has also been linked with Middlesbrough, Stoke and Reading.
Think there’s definitely a player in there but I’m not convinced he’s good enough for the Championship.

I don't understand how someone can have the privilege to be a pro footballer and have a bad attitude. Complete waste. Its an interesting conundrum. I’ve been getting into the Netflix series “Last Chance U” which is about college football (gridiron) in the USA. The players are kids who have not made the grades to maintain their academic position in a top University or those who have been kicked out of the top universities. What I got out of it: 1)some kids just have a terrible upbringing and have massive trust issues or because they’ve been on their own, they want to do it their way. So have an inability to listen. 2)some kids are just lazy 3)some kids are impressionable and are led astray by friends. Finally, what I did get out of it, talent won’t get you to the top alone, it takes a whole lot of hard work, discipline, humility, confidence, drive and a great support network. Some of those things we take for granted.

He’s been linked with those 3 clubs AS WELL AS us. Also, sorry, but I can’t take “sauce” seriously 😂😂 it’s silly season, he’s a name I’ve heard/seen, let’s see!

No stats on him except he was an unused substitute 26 times last season.

No stats on him except he was an unused substitute 26 times last season. It would be a gamble, if it's for straight into the first team, as he has about as much first team experience as Scott High. However, Corberan knows him very well from Leeds and Gotts will know exactly what's expected of him.

Take no notice of that source, same twat posting on the Barnsley forum last week about Alex Mowatt to town, but turned out to be a fake account!

I forgot Dean Whitehead was at Shrewsbury, hopefully High will benefit from his experience in midfield.

Rumour has it ASTON VILLA. Put £8m bid in for Joe Lolley I wonder if the 20% sell-on clause is true? Hope so.

Bloody good move for Scott High. Playing at a relatively high standard at a decent club. Happy with that.

Anyone else starting to think that a lot of teams are going to be starting next season with a similar, or worse squad?
Can't see much going on in terms of transfer activity throughout the league and t is a really quick turnaround.
Have we had any solid rumours yet?

Think the only 2 solid ones are the interest in Charlton keeper Phillips. And then Robbie Gotts on loan. The other one looking likely is the Joe Geldhart, signing for Leeds then coming to us on loan. After reading through threads and articles, these seem ones that have legs.

Ain’t the the bloke who’s been spouting shite about us after mowett in Twitter? Talking to Barnsley fan I work with, he says they've been resigned to losing him whether they stayed up or went down, best player for last two seasons. He'll be off to another championship side, be it us or ANOther.

Most importantly, we need a couple of loan signings who have the quality of ESR.

Could be the case or could just be that a lot of players/managers still on holiday.Id reckon things will start to move more from next week onwards, not ideal as will have already started pre season but all teams seem to be in the same boat.If doesn’t pickup mid to late next week though you could be right.
