Jonson Clarke-Harris (Striker) Kieron Freeman (Full-back) and Dillon Phillips (Keeper) I’m sure Maynard said CC recommended some players we should look at, was kinda hoping for some Unknown’s from spain, abit like when Wagner arrived

Wow. He got paid for scouting the absolute shite we've recruited over the past years? I've heard of stealing a living, that's holding a living hostage with a big fuck off shotgun. There's nothing at all to suggest that this bloke has anything whatsoever to do with spotting talent. As I read it, he's been employed to coordinate all the data that others bring him. Someone else does the scouting, someone else analyses the (coordinated) data, someone else decides who to chase and then someone else does the actual recruiting. The fella sounds like he's just bloody good at acquiring, coordinating and presenting other people's information. Hardly the one to scapegoat for the shower of shite that the club have recruited for the last 18 months or so.

Everyone must be dreadful.

Jonson Clarke-Harris (Striker) Kieron Freeman (Full-back) and Dillon Phillips (Keeper) Phillips and freeman are decent but Clarke Harris has been terrible everytime I've seen him Agree, was useless at Rotherham, played nearly 100 games and didn't even get 10 goals.

Examiner reporting the links to Freeman are false. For the first time in years I'm starting to take notice of and think that what they say on Town has substance. Or is it a sign I'm losing the plot?

Steven Chicken is a good guy, good journalist and writer, the Examiner pod is a great listen too, so your not losing the plot.

I’m not too surprised there’s been no players signed yet, but I am surprised there’s been no announcements about Corberán’s coaching staff. I’m guessing it’s because Corberán may be on holiday? His assistant announced it on twitter himself lol @chico_PN

We hardly competed for Campbell and Simpson though did we? They were unattached and nobody else appeared interested in them. If it comes to an auction we cant compete for the better players

I’m guessing everyone is on holiday and will sign and do the media work when they get back, no point in cutting what is already a short break even shorter. As we start pre-season on Monday I’d expect some activity between now and then. Sobhi is in ‘advanced stages’ of negotiation for a transfer to Al Ahly according to Kingfut, and their season starts on Sunday so I’d expect him to be gone before then too. Anderlecht were interested in Mbenza and they just sold Roofe to Rangers so that should free them up to make a move.

Shouldn’t all this money talk be on the finance thread??? Nobody reads the boring finance thread, so they hijack the slightly more exciting one!

Exactly all this guessing on finances is boring hence why I don’t look at the finance thread but would like it if it stopped hijacking every thread like a broken record 🤦🏽♀️🥱😴

That’s why I think many of the names being linked to us will more than likely be wide of the mark. I would imagine we will target young players capable of playing a fast game, and the stamina to close the opponents down, with god passing skills! Not going to be easy i know, but probably looking abroad like Wagner did.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (LOAN) Lewis Baker Malik Wilks
All will have worked with CC at Leeds.
BPF may not get many minutes at Burnley unless Pope leaves. Could do with a season out on loan. Played 28 games in 18/19 before Casilla came in.
Baker has been loaned out by Chelsea for the past 5 years or so, was highly rated in the past, needs a permanent move somewhere to get going again.
Wilks has been linked with a few championship clubs, can play as a winger/striker, could be an EK replacement.

Well his new assistant is from Girona isnt he? Id like to think they speak and he may have passed on some ideas. He may well not, just worrying amount of links to freebies and cheap players from lower leagues. Not something that has ever really worked out for us

It is if you lent the homeless person a large chunk of your money with no expectation of ever seeing it again... but then the homeless person used that money to set themselves up and became a multi-millionaire.....difference being hoyle pissed away most of the lottery winners money then took what was left leaving the bloke in a shitty bedsit with high rent he couldnt afford. its been done to death...and i dont like criticising hoyle...he did wonderful things for this club..but at the end of the day im a fan of htfc first not dean and the structuring of his exit was an absolute shitshow for the club he worked so hard to build up ive always said i've no issue with him getting, in theory, every penny back..but it should have been through either the direct sale of the club from a position of strength (a state of the art training facility, core squad capable of mounting a championship challenge etc) or a long term agreement based on future successes reaped from the infrastructure of his investment. not because its good business sense for hoyle, but because thats the dream he always sold to the fans (who in large bought into that and gave him fantastic backing)

Neil Warnock outlines his ways of prepping for the upcoming season regarding transfers. He’s not over-enamoured with the modern recruitment process of relying on data analysis and highlights videos. He really is solidly old-school...
