Think a few of the players will have to get an early flight home from Marbella / Ibiza if they're gonna make that date.... BBC News - Coronavirus: UK brings back 14-day quarantine for Spain www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53540691

Campbell is in Ibiza. Maybe they get round it with the testing they do.
Man City play Madrid at home in just under 2 weeks, no idea what happens with that one.

We booked flights to Alicante yesterday morning, what's the old saying, if I fell in a barrel of tits I'd come out sucking my thumb ! As I understand it all the Spanish islands are fine BUT the technology employed can't ifferentiate so Menorca is Spain. I don't get what's going on to be honest, for the last 3 months I've been fine to go to Asda without a mask but now I've got to wear one, likewise Spain had a much more stringent lockdown and they respect social distancing rules far better than over here but if you go you've to lockdown on return. ? Strange times.

Special dispensations for footballers; you watch... Because they're "special". To be fair to them, they are all currently being tested regularly and probably being kept within a bubble of sorts. It's all going 'Pete Tong' for those Championship footballers who left on holiday this week for a summer holiday, no doubt most of them went to Spain or the Spanish Islands. I hope our new Head Coach and his team, plus any new players arriving from Spain hurry up and get over here today or tomorrow - otherwise they'll miss the first day of training!

The coaches are already too late getting here, they're supposed to be starting work on Saturday to get everything prepared and set up for Corberán and the players to come in on 10th

Strange times. The truth is that Sage and the cabinet just don’t know what they’re doing. They haven’t at any stage. Their modelling has been completely wrong. Their understanding of who is at risk- totally wrong. Their insistence of sticking to the 3 symptoms rule- which young people often suffered none of- so were unaware they had it. I told my team of care workers in March that if they had lost their sense of taste and smell then they must not come to work at the care centre. In March and April we had 18- about 40% of staff off in isolation due to mainly that symptom. Young people wouldn’t know if they had a temperature- they’d not distinguish that from a hangover most of em. The NHS meanwhile with its stupidly limited symptoms- continually ratified by Sage despite the evidence to the contrary, had thousands of staff working whilst having symptoms- just not the 3 ones sage spoke of. That’s not to mention all the poor transport drivers and supermarket workers who were left unprotected on the front line. Anyway, my sincere advice to you is- take your holiday. Take reasonable precautions while you’re there. Enjoy the weather- lord knows after this horrendous Yorkshire summer we all need some sun. On your return you could take a test, assess your health closely over a couple of days. Any symptoms at all- weak, lacking energy, cold- sniffles, a scratchy sore throat, headaches, temperature or the fabled Covid cough and you can isolate for 2 weeks. Don’t see anyone old or ill or frail. If after 2-3 days you feel completely fine I think you’ll be safe to go about your normal business.

The club should have been asking them not to fly abroad on holiday given the quick turnaround.

Wagner wanted most of his transfers done for the first day or preseason. Let's hope Carlos gets the same support.

Yeah, that’ll work.... laughing If they all come back with coronavirus and we can't start the season we'll look right dicks won't we? Around 3 in a 1000 infected isn’t there, I could be wrong though, so we’d have to be pretty unlucky

Yeah, that’ll work.... laughing If they all come back with coronavirus and we can't start the season we'll look right dicks won't we? It’s not just our club bet majority will be away taking a break after a long season. I’m sure it will effect most clubs except for those in play offs

O'Brien is in ibiza as well According to his Instagram he is in Santorini a Greek Island so should be fine. As it's a 14 quarantine for people arriving from Spain surely the easiest way around it is to fly from Spain to somewhere else where you don't have to quarantine and then fly to England.

I’m sure it will effect most clubs except for those in play offs "affect" This is precisely why the world and his wife now use the word "impact" (wrongly!!) Nobody knows whether to use "affect" or "effect" so simply opt for "impact", which has a different meaning, and requires "upon" (which nobody ever uses). Grrrr!!
