Lewis talking about player of the season etc on an interview filmed today on the first day back. Talked about Carlos as well, but Lewis said he hasn't met him yet?? Where is he then?? Surely it’s fairly possible that he does that interview before training

3 days until the start of pre-season and: We have no new signings We have no first team Assistant Manager (officially annonced by the club) We have no First team coaches We have no Fitness coach (quite vital for pre-season) We have no kit launched We have no sponsor We have no friendlies planned We haven't sold any of our contracted want away players Are we in for an exciting couple of days with much of the above announced or are we quite frankly in a complete mess I know other clubs have many of the list missing and not finalised yet but are there many out there, especially at championship level who have none of the above sorted or have at least communicated to fans that it's on going Big Phil's doing it all but he's on holiday in Portugal at the moment. Don't fret it's all in hand

The last time we were in this much of a mess was when old Ken took us out of administration. We were promoted that season!

The last time we were in this much of a mess was when old Ken took us out of administration. We were promoted that season! explain whatyou mean by last time we were in this much of a mess please! Takes a breath We currently have a team full of multi million pound players we cannot sell and who's wages are costing us a fortune. We are hamstrung by a previous chairman who is taking a lot of the income coming into the club by means of parachute payments and even player sales (apparently). We are currently not bringing in any income other than merchandising due to Covid. We have a team that aside from a win against West Brom have grown accustomed to losing, only 2 games from the end of the season did we stop successive relegation. We have a new manager with no or little experience and who apparently has no backroom team. We don't appear to have any money to replace the players we have with any real quality and it appears that the soundbites coming from the club show we will be reliant on youngsters. There is absolutely no communication coming from the club regarding anything positive. (I have an inkling the silence could be due to a potential takeover) I didnt want to list all of our faults but then you did ask. The manager and chairman gets my full support but I cannot remember such doom and gloom since the days of administration.

You can't use happy clappers in a derogatory context & make a point I will respect. I have no sense uncertainty, but I see loads spouting it & perhaps others falling for it. Every pre season is a time of optimism, we have a new Head Coach, staff singing from the same hymn sheet, continueing multi million funding, past & present owners who are supporters & directors, a clear out of staff potentially adversely affected by 2 seasons of poor performance and no evidence that the new team not perform well. An analysis of a realist!

Weird times but has anyone ever remembered not being bothered about the new season as much as this. It feels like Pre Wadsworth and during Wadsworth., dire, uninspiring and dull as dishwater. If thus goes on, we will all find something a lot better to do, which I am already. Anyway, time to go to my allotment for my home grown organic food. I have plenty of 5 a days, and sixes of fruits, they make a lovely pattern. Defensively, I have a good solid centre patch of rugged potatoes. Up front I have a static strikingly timid cauliflower of forward thinking brassicas.

I dont think the season should be starting anyway, I cant understand why they are contemplating a season which will probably be all behind closed doors, except for the broadcasting money, which I imagine will start to drop. There are so many unanswered questions and my bet would be that it will become a farce again, with potentially another lockdown on the way if the new cases keep going up accross Europe. There will also be more clubs going into admin, and I reckon all leagues in the EFL next season will have teams with points deductions, and plenty of court battles. You only have to look at the whole Wigan and Sheff Wednesday situation this season to see what a shambles its been, with Barnsley not even knowing for sure which league they would be playing in after the season ended. I have already decided to cancel my skysports football subscription, as I am not paying out to watch empty stadiums with a bit of fake noise piped in over the top. I didnt miss football at all over lockdown, and golf will be my football replacement on a Saturday for a fair while now.

I've become increasingly disinterested with football in general, but can't wait to for a season of crying fans, points deductions and less robustly operated clubs disappearing to where they should in most cases have gone to many years ago. Chaos is exciting.

When you say league Two. Do you mean the old division two? Or league Two as in the old fourth division? Asking for a friend

Or league Two as in the old fourth division? Asking for a friend Must be the old division two, now known as League 1, because the current League 2 was only ever called Football League Division 3 when we played Hull! :D Although, I'm pretty sure it was snowing last time we played Hull in division 2.

Well the first day of pre-season is today.
What time are we giving it before our 15 year old social media manager compiles a terrible montage with copyright free music for us to enjoy of them all returning looking as excited as ever?
My guess is 4pm.
