Sad to see him go, one of my favourite town players.

Seawart had worked with this guy for ages already and still signed him.
Financial crime has occurred, there is no other explanation.

All the best to him in the future. IMO we shouldn't ridicule the player. This situation wasn't his fault.

Darn, and there was surely a song in the making for him to the tune of England world cup song 'Back Home'. Jello would have had a field day. So long Herb and thanks for all the wonderful memories.

I am sure when the guy came he had every intention of being successful. It has not worked out and we hardly saw him to express an opinion. Personally I don't find it at all funny that someone is now out of work (footballer or not) and cannot really see how other people can>

Good luck to the lad. Got himself a decent club there.

Signed a one year deal with option of a second at VfL Bochum. They were after him last summer before he joined us and I actually think he could do well there. They like their attack-minded full-backs/wide midfielders and have had a decent young Arsenal lad on loan there this season, who has done well. Watch a fair bit of Bochum, so will finally get to see him play properly.

Just to echo what others have said...
He came here with great intentions in all likelihood but was probably never a good fit. It would be interesting to hear his side of the story and I wish him the best of luck

Good luck to the lad. He must have wondered why he was here just as much as the rest of us.

Yup, The lad will probably look back when he is done playing and think I wasted a year of my career, Watch him fly out of the traps for Bochum.

A strange signing although if he's off to Bochum I wonder if he'll be better there either. It's still a high level in Bundesliga 2.
Good luck to him though. Not his fault that it didn't work out.

Wasted a year yet still trousered untold thousands of pounds. I think he'll probably get over it 😁

It is mate, yes. However, Bochum must have had their eye on him for a long time - they were in for him last summer. Instead, they loaned a young Arsenal lad for their right side who had a strong season. Whilst BL2 is a high standard, it is a very different type of game to Championship. Much more tactical and measured. Will be interesting to see how he does there this season.

I saw his one and only Town appearance against Lincoln, he was poor but he wasn't on his own that night to be fair.

We were relegated in March and had nearly 5 months to plan for the start of the next season
Brockhorn was our second most expensive signing of that summer and signed as a replacement for tommy smith - our promotion winning captain and the best right back in the division just two years before
Literally brockhorn was the epitome of the club losing the plot ... for the second summer running

We'll surely pull in the equivalent of Herbert Bockhorn from the Spanish leagues via our new head coach and his extensive network of contacts.
I heard on the grapevine that we are in discussions to sign up a little known talent called Herberto Cerveza-Cuerno, looking forward to his arrival.

Good result all round.
Bockhorn can move on to a club where he's more likely to get game time. For us, it's one less wage to worry about.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous cheap as chips signing of the lot
The bloke at 25 had only ever played 100 appearances in German 4-8 tier
We may as well have signed someone from Farsley Celtic
The only shock is he’s managed to sign for a German equivalent of championship club

Bockhorn, as underwhelming as he may have been, goes down as a mistake, but not such a costly one.
