All the best to him in the future. IMO we shouldn't ridicule the player. This situation wasn't his fault. UTT correct we shoudnt the lad as far as I'm aware ha trained well been a good pro but has in the powers that be fallen short of what is needed.i wish the lad well as he moves on and we move on

No hard feelings. He came, it didn't work out, he's gone. Good luck to the lad.

Seawart had worked with this guy for ages already and still signed him. Financial crime has occurred, there is no other explanation. On the other hand, Siewert was just a terrible judge of football players.

Playing Aaron Rowe and Duhaney in the Premier League. Think Diakhaby and Mbenza were the way to go playing Chelsea away. Surprised he didn’t ask Andy Booth if he fancied a game. People say “my gran would have done better”. In this case my gran would have done better, and she’s dead.

It was ridiculous, although I do think Stankovic is a wonderful player and it's a real shame he's gone.

A wonderful player who never keeps clean sheets in defence and had not kept his place under 3 different managers and Siewert who was the worst appointment in the club’s history. Stan ternant signed Gary Roberts. Stankovic gotta be one of the most overrated town players of all time.

Chapman or Bockhorn? Who's the top Herbert? I was in a meeting with a Herman yesterday....and he was not a German.

Also don't forget he had an awful injury that kept him out for nearly a year. And who do you think is actually better than him in his position in our squad?

Elphick was dreadful for us. stanks was young and needed games

Elphick was dreadful for us. stanks was young and needed games wish he could have got a full season in and then been our CB under CC Elphick was awful at the start of the season, but who wasn't. By the time he was injured he was playing really well and the partnership between him and Schindler was the reason we started to climb the table. I agree that Stankovic needed a run of games, but I'm not sure what his best position is. He is much taller and wider than he looks on the pitch, I stood next to him at Old Trafford and I felt small even though I'm 6 foot tall.

The Stankovic- “all he needed was a run of games” line.
He had several runs of games under different managers and Siewert. These runs of games only brought about the end of his run in the first team usually because we conceded too many goals.
Elphick started poorly but became the best central defensive partnership of the season until his injury.

If JGS was championship level CB he’d have already established himself in one of the 2 centre backs berths long before now. He hasn’t because he isn’t good enough.

Chalobah looked good in his brief cameo at CB and for me has more potential in the position that JGS who is league one standard.

Stankovic could do stuff that the majority of our players have trouble with like controlling superbly and passing accurately.

Bockhorn, one Caraboo League Cup appearance for Town, although to be fair he still had more minutes on the pitch than say David May who Steve Bruce brought in on loan in our failed shot at the big time 20 years ago !
Most of the figures quoted tend to be undisclosed, but I'm sure I read that we had paid £400,000 to sign him, chicken feed in PL terms but throw in his reported "mere" £7,000 a week wage for 2.5 years and that's another £900,000, bonus payments (?) agents fees and all the other associated costs and it's probably £1.5M.
The lottery agents have to sell an awful lot of online B&W half time draw tickets to try and recoup that one small recruiting boo boo.

All 3 of those have been main stays of championship promotion outfits so they have the pedigree. Whether they still have the legs, the desire I don’t know, but I think Carlos will.

Think Stankovic flattered to deceive ,when other teams let him play he could play well ,he will do well in the Austrian league where the football is more technical and less at full speed ,never really let Town down when he played and often looked solid ,however you are right we rarely kept a clean sheet when he played .
