Well well well.. Just here to remind every with short memories of the mess we are in and not to forget how we got here.. We have NO goalkeeper (Sorry Hamer is not a footballer) We have NO RB ...AGAIN! (Flo will be off in a couple of weeks) We have no first choice CB below the age of 30 (I expect Kongolo to be on his way as we don't want to pay his wages) We have a CM consisting of an injured O'Brien. Hogg who has lost nearly every game in the last 2 years and The dwarf! We have Diabenza back in the fold as our options on the week it seems; calling them the speed twins is generous! Then if Grant goes we are relying on goals from Fraizer Campbell, the emotionless statue Mounie and a free agent from Cardiff.. ..... What's frightening is that our Player of the season was one of the worst post lockdown What's frightening is that out best player by far after lockdown was Chaloboah and we've lost him from the 11. Our second best player after lockdown was ESR and same story! Likewise we lost the only GK we had with a bit of quality! ..... This is a team that scraped survival in what was a weak league less those three important players. ..... I'm behind Potless, I think the Danny Ward signing is better than what we have. However people here have such short memories. When we got promoted, yes we spent money but we also sold: Heff 500k Lolley 1m Zanka 2m Wells 5m Mooy 5m Smith 5m Malone 5m Shobi loans 3m Ince 13m Billing 16m We are talking 55m ++++ in TRANSFER INCOME Our NET spend on transfer wasn't much when you factor this in. Dean hamstrung the club not by taking his loan back, but by approving these transfers THEN within 12 months deciding to take his 50m back. If he he has said Pre-season 2018-19 that he will be taking his money back in 12 months there is no way we would've spent 25m on Diabenza. FOR THIS reason, he is responsibly largely for where we find ourselves today. Potless was the best buyer for Dean, not for town - as he would assume the club for free and use our parachute payments to give dean back his 50m. ....... Potless made the stinking decision of keeping Jan beyond 5pm of the last game of the EPL season - Why? The players hated him and he had zero impact. He said we don't have to sell. Then we sell Mooy and Billing for over 20m. Then we start the season with no LB and RB. We're then told that Lossl on loan puts us OVER BUDGET How are we more poor after receiving: 55m in transfer fees in 3 years 100m twice over or TV rights 60m in parachute payments Most likely a 40% wage reduction for those on EPL contracts It stinks. Looks at Fulham and Cardiff. We got tanked my Millwall on the last game of the season. Matty Daly bless him would snap in a strong gust of wind. For the avvoidance of doubt, Matty daly/ The dwarf etc aren't int he same league as ESR, Izzy, Kasey and that's just stating facts. Elphick at CB is humiliating and Schindlers legs went over a year ago ahving lost almost every game for 2.5m years. We are skint and the answer they're giving us is rely on youth and free agents again. Covid is not an excuse; we are talking maybe 3-5m in lost income. I'm not expecting us to spend 5m on each player; I am expecting us to not give out the message that we are relying on youth and overbudget with the Lossl signing! It stinks; tens and tens of millions have vanished into thin air. And your point is what exactly. I think he’s trying to say that we are up shit creek without a paddle.

From the comments on here looks like we are going to finish bottom with the lowest ever number of points. As for the new Head Coach sounds like a lot of people don't think he will make much difference, certainly will do worse than this/last season. I really cannot understand the complete negativity on here at the moment, certainly the worst I have ever seen, and we haven't even played a game. FFS.

I’m genuinely staggered you can’t understand the complete negativity on here! Why on earth would it be anything else based on recent events and those of the past two years! All things considered probably the least I’ve ever been enthused about Town and a new season.

Hope you’re both still laughing in May and not wrong again I just looked to see how your lad had gone on this season. Have you been editing his wiki page again 😁 Ince's main attributes are his pace, acceleration and skill on the ball. He has said that he enjoys "exciting people, scoring goals, creating goals" and is "not one of those old fashioned wingers who just gets crosses in, I like to create things, show bits of magic." 🤣🤣🤣

It stinks; tens and tens of millions have vanished into thin air. Despite it being an over the top troll post, its actually hard to disagree with a lot of what is said. A lot of people are very happy to just support the club and its decisions and label anyone who dares question anything as negative or worse. There is nothing wrong with asking difficult questions of the club and criticising decisions that are made. At the end of the day, most people on here will still be supporting town long after Phil and the next chairman and the one after that has gone. From the decisions he has made so far, I can only see Phil taking us eventually back down to League 1. He doesnt come accross as a chairman who will take the club forward in my opinion. I dont think he has been helped by Hoyle, but he can't blame Hoyle, as Phil knew exactly what he was doing when he acquired the club, and how much would have to be paid off. Chairmen dont buy clubs to make money (unless they are corrupt) and he should have just sold the club outright, made some of his money back, and gone back to the terraces to support his boyhood club. Instead we are being crippled having to pay off signings he authorised such as Sobhi, Diakhaby and Mbenza. They are his mistakes, yet the club are seemingly going to suffer for them for a long time to come, and any fans dream of 2 years in the Premier League helping make us a top championship club for the next decade to come, have gone up in smoke. At the moment its very hard to get away from the point the OP makes about losing 3 of our best players in ESR, Lossl and Chalobah. They have to be replaced with similar quality just to stand still on 17th in the Championship. If we then lose Grant, on top of that we have 20 goals to find for next season. We also have to have our fingers crossed that the new coaches can command more respect than Siewart did to get us playing again.

Art n Roy Steptoe n Son for the 21st century 'Aaarold... I'm dying to know your opinion of the forthcoming season. No idea really mate. Struggling to get enthused tbh. Not the same when the fans can't attend. Aside from glancing at all the town games and giving the wba full attention I havent seem any football since Elland Road. If push came to shove I'd rather have cc than the cowleys. Not sure how it's going to pan out financially its going to be a mare for everyone till we get back to normal. But I think we will be in as good a financial state as most in the division. Feels like a game of dare atm with no one quite knowing what to do (barring Stoke who don't seem to care about dough and Norwich who appear to have played a "long game"
