Joking aside, a motivated Grant back in the squad would be far better than any striker we would bring in on a budget.
This is where we see how good CC is as a man-manager. We just need to assure Grant that he can go in January if a club meets his valuation, it’s up to him to convince one he’s worth the money.

Surely a striker will be signed by Thursday in order to play Friday.... it would be absolutely criminal to not have one 4 competitive games into the season. Looks like Bonatini is off to a Swiss club - hope that wasn’t who we supposedly had lined up as rumoured. Ward and Campbell are our strikers, Carlos said as much. I’d be amazed if we signed a third player for one position. |

Surely a striker will be signed by Thursday in order to play Friday.... it would be absolutely criminal to not have one 4 competitive games into the season. Looks like Bonatini is off to a Swiss club - hope that wasn’t who we supposedly had lined up as rumoured. Ward and Campbell are our strikers, Carlos said as much. I’d be amazed if we signed a third player for one position. Maynard did say we were close to signing one on loan. Whether its gone through or not, it shows they're still looking for another.... |
