What i dont understand is that this is a forum, a community and people use this place for social banter as much as anything. Still town related mostly even if it did go off on a tangent. This seems to have killed it dead and at a time when apathy is already rife we need to maintain that level of banter for all of our sanities. Change it back for me. Yep, if the goal was to reduce the number of posts it was successful. I don't come on anywhere near as much now as it's too hard to Bob in, therefore I don't contribute. Im visiting the other forum more now, I don't like it as much but it's easier to use on my mobile which is all I use. So if that's the aim to reduce contributors, the social and the interest... It was successful

I did a quick search for another forum and I came up with an odd site that appeared to be the personal chiefdom of some snooty bloke and some poor imitations. I can honestly say that I found nothing anywhere near as good as this site with all the winging and falling out that we can’t seem to put a stop to.

Sorry to jump on the 'format bandwagon'. Just a quick message to the admins.
Are you at least considering changing the format of the transfer thread back to how it was? I admire the attempt to change but surely you can see that it isn't going down well.
This forum is much needed for us Town fans and the enjoyment has been sucked out of the Transfers thread for both in, out, real, bullshit, sublime and ridiculous.
Again, the need to adapt and improve is vital, and I applaud you for trying it out, but after trying to get used to it for a while and seeing way over 90% of feedback being negative from other users, I think the stubbornness of the 'we've changed so get used to it' needs to be questioned.
Just wanted to enquire if you were at least considering reverting back to the old format?

Meanwhile, back to the subject of transfer rumours.... The Examiner has an article on possible Town options: www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-chelsea-leeds-chris-willock-19001845One of the names mentioned is Josh Sims. Most Town fans won't know him. I've seen him play a few games for Saints, and he's always seemed reasonable. Hard-working and direct, and tackles back. Unfortunately, successive Saints managers haven't fancied him, so he's been out on loan. He strikes me as not being good enough for the Premier League, but a good Championship player who needs to move on for the sake of his own career. I don't know the status of his contract, but I would suggest he would be a better buy than a loan - I suspect he would benefit from the guiding hand of a manager who believes in him.

I agree with this. Never quite been given a fair crack of the whip in the first team but clearly has good potential.

Looking at his You Tube clips which the other Josh likes to do, he seems like a Pritchard type but with a bit more pace. Musonda has bags of potential but as stated, really injury prone. Murder ball might literally kill him off for good

Ridiculous really. Threads about transfers all over the place. Still on a positive note, if we don't bring anyone in within the next 24 hours then I should be made an admin and then I can sort it out for everyone. Townrwe - The peoples choice. So what, ya stalker.. I'm standing up for what I and the majority of posters/readers want. Asking questions which have had no response or acknowledgement from admins. I've not posted often before this and I (and the majority on here) strongly believe the board was infinitely better before for a reader, hence me only really posting to ask to change it back, with still no reply - once again, despite it being what most people want. Anyway, whatever.

I'm mostly a long-time lurker here, so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion is on this. But one thing I notice is that in the current format, there's no good place to have a more general discussion on transfers. For example, where should one post their thoughts on what our priorities should be, without having a specific player attached to the discussion? Or on how many incomings are needed in the next couple of weeks?
I do think it's useful to be able to find all of the discussion on a single player in the same place, but at the moment it seems to be discouraging posters from contributing to the discussion if they don't have a specific rumor, and that's probably not what was intended.

I have to accept it's not quite clear, but surely THIS thread is the general one. I used it to post comments about Josh Sims yesterday, and my post was read by at least two people! I agree that, once the moderators consider there is likely to be regular dialogue about a potential recruit, then personal threads can be established. That works well for me.

As far as I can tell, 'Grimflake' intended that the following thread be used for general transfer discussion: downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/114521/related-transfer-rumours-september-onwards It has since been almost entirely ignored by those bemoaning the absence of a single thread for general transfer discussion
