I thought Big Phil was a lot of things but even I didn’t think he was the coward he’s shown himself to be whilst hiding from the fans and all scrutiny over the last 3 months. I would look closer to home why should he answer the vile uncouth loud mouths who woudnt believe him whatever answer he gave Straight question Positive. ...& Please give me a straight answer ...are you happy we didn't strengthen today after finally concluding the Grant deal? ...or disappointed?

If that’s the case, how does Maynard know about things immediately before they happen, such as when transfers are about to be announced. And you say there’s been no rumours, but quite often the rumour has been first started by Maynard. Therefore suggesting even more that Maynard does actually know more than most. The way I see it, either read what Maynard posts and accept there’s an element of truth in it, but that things happen and it might not come off, or see the Maynard post and scroll straight past, happily getting on with your day If I was Maynard I wouldn't even waste my time on some of the ungrateful twats on here. Do you think some of the blow hards might be a bit thick? I am being polite.

At least we have a few more pounds for the next payment to Phil’s mate Dean who gave the club to his mate Phil to *continue his legacy / agree to repay his mate £15m / year (*delete as appropriate) Let’s not forget Dean is owed £15m within 5 days of the summer window Obviously we are such nice people that we paid £11m of that several months ago So Dean is only owed £4m next week Trying to work out who's made the exact same post the most times. You banging on about Dean being paid back early or Epsomterrier telling everyone he's going to watch Carsharlton so he can have a pint in the fresh air. Think you've just edged it. I don’t think it’s close

Hey, at least this season we can revel in relegation! It's nice knowing your destiny Absolutely buzzing for a 5-0 battering on boxing day. We've got as much chance of staying up as that lump in Pritchard's knee spontaneously combustion Eeeee ayy eee ayy ere we go I disagree. I think we'll do alright. In fact, I think we'll do brilliant given what Carlos has been given. Which is survival. But imagine what could've been if he'd have had at his disposal an actual striker, and the means to supply him? What a sorry state of affairs. I'm being a bit dramatic to match the mood, but I just think there's no goals there over a season, and a threadbare squad without injury cover Imagine being in that dressing room today... 2x best strikers gone, other 1st teamers gone.. and nothing coming in.

I vaguely remember seeing Aarons play a couple of times for Wycombe last season; the fact that I can’t particularly recall him says enough about what I think of him, so I’m not disappointed that his move to Town has apparently fallen through.
That doesn’t excuse the fact that the club comes across as being utterly incompetent IF it is true they couldn’t get the paperwork done in time.
I’m sorry to say that the mismanagement of this club is staggering and shows no signs of ending. Hodgkinson, Devlin and Bromby........ just pathetic.

Have we really sold Grant and Mounie and not signed a forward? Even on loan? Wow. They keep finding ways to fail to meet even the lowest of expectations.

According to local tv news fee for Grant is £2.5m now and £2.5m a year for 5 years so assuming Charlton have a sell on clause that would leave little or nothing to spend on anyone, short term.

We don’t score goals, we’ve sold all our assets, we are backing the manager we sign Danny ward for free. The fans will get the blame now because not enough renewed tickets. I cannot believe not one decent proven goal scorer was signed this window or January or summer last year. Bollocks we can’t afford it. How much would a wells type player cost? We must have some dosh? Don’t blame pissing covid we’ve been acting like this since jan 2019

If the club sold all the players and did a midnight flit with the proceeds you'd still back them to the hilt. You have to be related to Phil to defend this shit show.

When you see other clubs managing to get 3 or 4 deals over the line in the last 3 hours of the window it really does beggar belief that we (with 10 months notice) are unable to get an adequate replacement or any replacement for Grant sorted. Made 100 times worse because there's no communication and there won't be any answers as to why this last 3 weeks has been such a fuck up.

Should have sold Jarvis' suit on ebay when £1 fees were on
Everyone hates Phil but it's ultimately this..
He is skint due to covid, and doesn't want the club to go to the wall.
Terrible window, but the club will survive. We'll just be in league 1 for 10 years

Plenty of brass to pay rent on Canalside at least! I wonder how the video explaining to the fans the improvements that have been made (that was promised last month when the board were rumbled about the £20m investment) is getting on?

At least then we were signing the likes of coady, butterfield, Clayton, Wells, mooy, Palmer, brown lowe etc We had a reputation of treating players well and helping launch their careers back then. Now we mouth off about them to the press, call them ‘disgraces’ and say they’ll never play for us again...before playing them again when they’re all we have left. Would you advise your client or son to sign for us?

Zohore gone to millwall on loan.
Not sure why we didn’t secure the loan at the same time as selling Grant. Would be better than we have.
Hard not to be downhearted at the moment. Fuck knows where the goals are going to come from.

Fact of the matter is Phil did not have enough funds to support the club. There are glaring holes in this squad and it’s shocking we haven’t signed more players.
My sympathy is with Carlos. He probably got the job as he was desperate for his first step in management and he won’t challenge Phil on the lack of signings, but he deserves much better.

So to sum up we have got rid of 1 x GK 3 x RB 1 x CB 1 x CM 3 x Winger 2 x Striker
And also saw the following loans end 2 x GK 2 x CM 1 x AM 1 x Winger
And we have replaced them with 1 x Gk (loan) 1 x RB 1 x CB 1 x CM (loan) 1 x Striker Plus the return from loan of 1 x Gk 2 x Winger
That's 17 out and 8 in in a squad which was already fairly thin whilst pocketing 20m. That could rise if Kongolo goes.
I'm struggling to find any words to describe this other than a total joke.

Terrible window, but the club will survive. We'll just be in league 1 for 10 years Bollocks. It'll last a season at most and we will lose far far far far far less than we have brought in. Its pure and simple asset stripping. This is every bit as bad as the Oystons however our fans have swallowed up every bit of the tiny town mantra the club have peddled and so don't question it like the Blackpool fans did. Its absolute neglect at a corporate scale and if the fans had any fucking bollocks they would be going en mass (wearing masks) to do to them what they did to Davy.

A season at most is more than enough to ruin most of the EFL. That's why a LOT of the EFL clubs were happy to sell their soul (project big picture) He's not asset stripping. You think Hoyle would allow that? He's still a shareholder in the club and both men are Town fans. He's been a a ropey chairman thus far, but he's still a Town fan.
