Sure someone posted up on here that Wards goals per minute record was better than grants last season . Cant recall whether it was including grants pens or not. Dont think theres any doubt that as soon as grant goes we'll be trying to bring in a replacement and Id imagine most of the ground work for that has already been done with at least one target. Ou problem might be if he doesnt go, because judging by his performances post xmas last season, he's barely worth playing with the attitude he seems to have. Ward's goals per minute record might be better but given the fact that he only scored 12 in 68 games for Cardiff and 19 in 94 games for Rotherham would suggest that he's either injured a lot or that his form has been poor. His record does not suggest that he'll ever be a 20 goals a season man. Dont think thats fair. His record last season suggests if he had played anything like a full season in terms of minutes on the pitch, he'd have had better than a 20 goal season. Doesnt necessarily mean his form was poor..might be that warnock just preferred a different striker. Just think its a bit premature to right him off as a goalscorer with the goals per minutes ratio he had last season, particularly if were also bemoaning losing a goal threat in Grant, despite his record being worse. Course its all a bit mute if hes never fit.

Agreed, with Ward and Campbell as our senior strikers and Phillips and Harratt hoping for minutes this season, bringing in another striker would make it impossible to keep them all happy. If we only sign one more player this window it has to be a wide attacker. Well that's us the lowest scoring team in the championship then. Ward and campbell are both injury prone and dont hit decent numbers anyway and the other two arnt ready for the championship. Harratt started on the bench most of his time at Harrogate in the conference last season, why do we suddenly think the young lads are all championship ready? It's just a cop out as the squad isnt good enough.

Yes because he would be better than what we currently have. Ward and Campbell wont play more than half a season between them

But Everton binned Phillip's as they deeed him not good enough. If they have another 20 year old on their books who they want to loan out I would say he's better than anyone Town have it would seem? Just an opinion. Dont want to right Phillip's off but not made an appearance yet. CC obviuosly doesn't trust him yet and our need for a striker is now

Funny old game ain't it. Difficult to say, although the fact he's not getting on the bench in our current situation suggests he probably ain't championship ready just yet. Whether he ever will be, who knows? Players develop at different rates.

They’ve got a part owner by the name of Mittal who is owner of the worlds largest steel manufacturer, or similar. Billions net worth and could make Derby’s frittering of money look like pennies if they wished. If QPR are skint...we’re all fucked! If they ever decide to really go for it, they could blow the division away with spending, but fall very foul of FFP.

Plus, they sold their best player (Eze) early in the window to Palace and evidently needed reinforcements, had people lined up and got them signed and in the team. Far too sensible...

It's great when someone offers more than 3 buttons up front for your biggest asset, not so great when they want him on the never, never......
