Can they finish better than this lot at Lyon?

If that is correct that it's a great achievement for the girls. Good on them! My mate is a manager for one of the other teams, and says there’s 12 in the league and Cowley’s team is the only team that features at least one girl in the squad. Fair play! Well done for posting some facts amongst a sea of conjecture. Good on the Cowleys. What are the other teams afraid of? Denying girls the opportunity to play when clearly they can compete.

Good on him for helping out with a young girl’s team. Not sure why anyone thinks having the passion and lack of ego to help out at grass roots level is something to take the piss out of. It’s pretty obvious he got sacked for not being a yes man when Phil moved the goalposts and reneged on every promise he’d made when luring him here. He’s clearly a man of great integrity. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Surely you would prefer to use your post to have a pop at the Cowley’s rather than make your response relevant to the original post. Something along the lines of ...fucking dodgy wheeler dealer wide-boy cockney twats who couldn’t even get us to the play-offs.,. Oi, stop pinching my lines 😁😁😁

Good luck to him. He kept us up against all the odds.
Those people having a dig are weird.

Can they finish better than this lot at Lyon? That's almost as bad as our pre-match warm-ups...

Do you think if we gave Pritchard a proper shave, then some Immac, that he might be able to take him off our hands?
Might be a problem the season after when all the other kids are a foot taller...

Jokes aside I am actually curious where he will find a future job! He picked up a fair wedge from us, so no need for him to rush. He'll be fine...

Good luck to him. He kept us up against all the odds. Those people having a dig are weird. People who thought they kept us up against the odds are weird We were 5 points clear at Xmas... They took us back into a relegation fight. A good management team would have kicked on with the momentum of a few positive results and had at least a safe mid table position.

Just like no managers ever have from a position of 1 point after 8 games. You’ve been around a while. Remember The Great Escape season 1997/98. Jacko and Taff lifted us initially but plunged downwards again before getting further reinforcements (pretty generous funding from the board) to get us to safety also against WBA home. The management team have been lavished with praise for that escape ever since.

Yes we had 1 point from 8, but the gap was only 4 points then, Boro and stoke got off to very similar starts. You make it sound like we had 10+ points to catch up on

Wonder if they will end up at Salford. Yeah rumours around that they're top of their wishlist. Would take some big money you'd think to get them to go to an even lower level than they were at with Lincoln!

I think it'll only happen if they agree to their demands of full footballing control - including recruitment. Would the Salford ownership go for that?

Would the Class of 92 want their club to try and shithouse draws from the academy up while the coaches act like twats 🤔

I wonder who his assistant will be? Or who will be a No 2 who can become a false No 1 in the Mid Technical Area.

Scholes gave himself the job after interviewing himself and declaring he did a cracking job at Oldham and there were lots of mitigating circumstances why they were absolute dogshit during his tenure!

The Cowleys did a great job keeping us up because we looked dead and buried after 8 games and 1 point. The Jan transfer window sealed it bringing in players like ESR, Willock, steadman, Simpson, Lossl. They had control over the transfers and brought in the players needed for that situation. Thank god we didn't have to rely on our recruitment team

Do you honestly believe we would have stayed up without the players Cowley brought in, in Jan whilst also reducing the wage bill? ?

I wasn't bothered about how boring the football was at times I just wanted us to stay up and I will always be grateful for the Cowleys for keeping us up. If we had gone down we would really be in the shit now

The bottom line is they were brought in to keep us up which they did.

Don’t see why people feel the need to belittle the previous manager. Not disliking the Cowley’s and supporting Carlos aren’t mutually exclusive. I do wonder, and maybe someone can let me know whether there is any truth, whether some of the dislike for the Cowley's is due to their accents.
