well paying for the club with parachute payments is taking money away from the club that should have been ringfenced for it's future. Sometimes it's difficult for people to remember just how wrong that little bit of business was. fancy buying the club with money that belonged to the club. I thought that was Deans money being paid back? It's quite simple it's Dean's Phil's money but owned controlled owed by Potless but it's my money really because I buy the odd hot dog and contribute endlessly to the club's upkeep by pissing and moaning and undermining on a chat board. |

I thought that was Deans money being paid back? Yes, thankfully we had a local fan lend us money as a tax dodge rather than invest in the club. He then did what he said he wouldn’t do and lost his mind saddling the club with useless players contracts that we can’t move on for a couple of years costing 10’s of millions on top of his 50 million. I’ve bought business and my accountant would never let me structure a deal like this. |

Is it buying the club if it’s to repay a loan, whoever took the club on would have had to settle this with Dean. No they wouldn’t. Almost everybody else would have insisted on a consideration for the wasted money and the contracts committed to that were debts that the club owed. Dean could have held onto the club but his health was failing and he wanted to sell. Not in a strong position to negotiate other than with another fan |

Is anyone actually bothered that we haven't signed one of the players we've been linked with today? Some absolute dross that would have just been a waste of a wage for 6 months
I suppose the bigger question is why are we trying to loan players from league one and will that situation change for the better come the summer window once some big wages are off the books. I certainly hope so

I certainly hope so For three seasons we have talked about getting to the summer transfer window and things will improve. Each year we clear wages and generate transfer fees from exits but there is no investment. Some would define it as insanity to expect different behaviour this year. |

Groundhog day. Personally sick to death of position X needing a player. Everyone can see we need a reinforcement and yet windows come and go, we huff, puff and fail to sort a major weakness out.
You build yourself up over the week after another dismissal display the previous weekend thinking "we can't get any worst" and yet nothing changes.
I really despair and wonder why I bother.

For me it's annoying when we have been linked with Gregory and Jackson etc and then we see Barnsley sign an exciting American young forward who has apparently just had a good season in the MLS

For me it's annoying when we have been linked with Gregory and Jackson etc and then we see Barnsley sign an exciting American young forward who has apparently just had a good season in the MLS You’re annoyed because a team has signed a player you’ve never heard of that has ‘apparently’ had a ‘good season’? Chances are half of the MLS players to have been linked or made a move would not have done so we’re it not for Brexit. |

Except this time pretty much every ridiculous wage will be off the books. Our wage bill will be back at sustainable levels and given that we are still in receipt of parachute payments and have money coming in from selling Billing, Grant, Mounie etc then we "should" be able to sign better than someone from Ipswich reserves |
