Never mind who anyone wants to play, who does everyone think we'll be drawn against? My money is on an away draw against a team from miles away like Bournemouth, Cardiff, Millwall or Norwich. An absolute nothing tie that we'll inevitably lose 2 or 3 nil. That's the spirit Eeyore. Oh. And this is the draw where it really doesn't matter how far away it is.

Depending on the opposition there may actually be fans allowed (if we're away that is). And it's not like we have a stellar record of getting far in the FA Cup. Plus it's incredibly rare for us to get a 3rd round draw at home that we're expected to win.

Erm I don't recall saying that away fans will be allowed. I said fans may be allowed if we're away from home. Learn to read before being unnecessarily aggressive.

It is therefore irrelevant as to the distance involved. That better for you Eeyore. As for aggressive, sorry precious.

Lets have a home draw against a big team, get the BBC to show it live and put in a performance, win or lose, that gets the pundits saying good things about us.

Plymouth Argyle. At least we don't have to slog it down there.

Is it the case that all ties are settled on the day? Extra time and pens but no replay?

Marine v Spurs, the beauty of the cup Spuds play their strongest team, and it's 0-25. Ahhh... The magic of the Cup. Won't be happening though.

I’m alright with Plymouth. Not played them for 10 years nearly to the day (11th January 2011). At least it’s sumat different. A change from Reading.

From the Town website:
"Town and Southampton have never met Plymouth five times in the Emirates FA Cup!"
Can someone translate that for me please?

Predicted it would be Plymouth long before the draw was made as can be seen on page 2 of this thread .
Also told my Plymouth mates we would draw them

I remember Jose advocating PL teams playing away whenever they draw a lower league team and having to play their strongest teams, in the paper on the morning of us playing his Chelsea team 🤔

Yes. Think he might be sacked for the 6th time. They can use the same template letter and just change the date. In one of the most bizarre decisions of all time, I believe he has just "earned" a contract extension The fans are turning against him. There is one of those open letters to McCall in their message board. Always good for a laugh those heartfelt musings are. Full of bad English and atrocious spelling obviously.
