Thought this was a thread about your worst nightmare for a striker for a minute. A mixture of an injury prone has been who we’re stuck with for 3 years and an attitude ridden waster with ideas above their station who downs tools and refuses to play for you when they don’t get their own way 😜

Lad wants to come, bohemians just trying to create a bidding war even though it's compo only. We've upped our offer.

Hopefully a decent option if arrons coming in two when all fit 4 decent options wide. Not an exciting one but our best players over last season or two have been o brien who had league 1 loan season before broke in,toffolo who dropped down to league 2 and worked way back up koroma who came from national league.Hopefully he kicks on under Carlos too if we do sign him.

Transfer Market shows his current contract ending at the end of this month so I guess he has declined to sign a new contract. How big a step up is it to the Championship I wonder?

According to the Irish Sun "Although Grant is out of contract at Dalymount Park, as he is under the age of 23, Bohs are entitled to a six-figure compensation fee if he moves outside Ireland".
I wonder who's rules those are?

I’d see it as a koroma like signing get him in and play the odd game this season with us looking at him pushing on next season!. Irish prem is probably league 1 or 2 standard I’d imagine

If he has struggled to get a game in League 1, he played 75 minutes football in 19/20 season, that does not make him sound like a great prospect surely? He has done well at Crawley but there must be a reason he did not make it at Donny.

Watched a little bit of bohemians and I can understand why we are showing interest in grant. He's still very raw has good close control and can go either way. He's quick and has great balance too.. however he's still quite weak on the ball and can get bullied of it against more physical teams. He personally reminds me of a young Adam hammill
If this is the approach we are taking regarding signings I'm all for it. He could well be a gem

It looks like he’s never gone into an academy and has worked his way up through men’s football. He joined Donny at 19 and got loaned out to a number of Northern Premier League teams for short spells. He was released by Donny because of Covid and to save money, where he was was considered to be in the u/23 squad. Trialled at Maidstone, played and scored against Crawley in a trial, Crawley offered him a contract. Scored a hatrick at the weekend, no doubt while many scouts were watching. Now has 12 in 12. The comments that I’ve seen are that he is raw and fast. www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/amp/max-watters-the-one-who-got-away-238311/

And there's something to be said about both potential signings - they are playing football at the moment - fit, sharp etc and have some experience that our lads coming through the youth ranks may never get before being fed into the first team. Both will be learning to take a kick or two.
