Long 6 week injury this, can see this being another Lolley type, can’t get used to the training of a professional club and is often hampered with injuries Its one injury, bit of a stretch to label him a sicknote already. They're probably just being careful with it. No point rushing back from a bad hamstring pull because you can quickly be back on the treatment table Odd though that they said he'd be out 6 weeks, it's now 10 weeks and he doesn't even get mentioned in the press conferences

Its going to end up being far longer than that. He is another one that I wouldn't bother with again this season if we are safe by early April. Let him continue to get stronger in the gym with his conditioning work and come back ready for next season in top shape.

I don't think DG has had a mention since the day we lost to Plymouth

Here's the recent interview mentioned by bobrobterrier in the pre-season thread for anyone that fancies a listen. (Talks about his time so far at Town from around the 28 minute mark)

Is this guy meant to be first team ready? As stated by someone else, no he wasn't bought with that intention. He is of the Koroma mould. But this guy looks bloody good off reports about him. Full pre season and games will show where he's at. Think he might be the surprise this season

Is this guy meant to be first team ready? Like Sorba Thomas, he was brought in as a "project player". I vaguely recall the talk at the time being that he was the better prospect of the two, although whether his injuries last season mean he's now fallen behind the chap with the magnificent barnet I've no idea.

Is this guy meant to be first team ready? No. Probably seen to be at a similar to Sorba or most of the other younger end players. If fit will get a cameo occasionally, maybe the odd start. Lots of potential though.

Due to the flimsy nature and the law quality of the squad all round we don't have really much room to facilitate 'projects' players. I would have no qualms about either being involved next season given the paucity of attacking options.

Think he might be the surprise this season 19 goals in 60 games for Bohemians off the wing and only 21. . I live in Ireland so know of him v well - don’t get me wrong it’s not the same level as the Champ but good players have come from here. Seamus Coleman, Roy Keane, Wes Hoolahan, Shane Long, James McClean have all made it. He’s better on the left wing. Cutting inside is his specialty. Wins a lot of penalties as well; really excited to see how he gets on. Looking at the Ireland squad, I genuinely think if he has stayed injury free from Jan he’d have been in it. That's not much use to us. Might as well say he wins a lot of throw ins in his own half given our recent record with penalties.

How much would a first team ready replacement for Koroma cost? Certainly a lot more than we paid. We need some first team ready players as well, no doubt about it - but we've been rewarded for our patience with Koroma, we might be with Grant & Thomas. Far from having no room to facilitate developing players - I'd say that if we want to compete at this level on our budget it's essential.

Here’s a thread of some of his goals. Some lovely finishes & good awareness of what's going on around him. Can see why we had a look at him. TBF his highlights reel looks more impressive than Sorba Thomas's (not that YouTube highlights is a worthwhile measure as we've discovered to our cost before!) ever did, and Sorba looked better last season than JK did at that stage in his football league career.

Let's hope he gets a look in. We could do with someone who gets the crowd off their seat and looks a threat, like something could happen when they have the ball instead of the pedestrian dross we've been dished up for the last 3 seasons.

Maybe he's part of the Academy/B team squad that are currently isolating. Two friendlies been called off this week.

He was a signing I was very excited about, seemed to have all the raw attributes you’d want in a winger. Hopefully, this isn’t another Bockhorn.

Maybe he's part of the Academy/B team squad that are currently isolating. Two friendlies been called off this week. That could also be why there's a lack of goalkeeper subs named. With the current situation, we probably won't get told the full picture on injuries, isolation and infections.

Unfortunately he caught COVID as part of the academy outbreak - he came back early for Pre season so was training with them and got the virus. His isolation will end midweek I’d say. Poor bastard can’t catch a break 😳 Hopefully things turn around for him soon.
