If we're after an experienced centre half who knows the league well and would be a good example for the younger kids, I would much rather look at someone like hef to come back. Signing Keogh would genuinely be an embarrassment, we would become the laughing stock of the league and I had enough of that when we were in the prem hef hasn't played a league game for 2 years, he's crocked

Yeah, he will be a good influence on the younger lads....good job the pubs are shut. That's my only real worry with him signing. However, he may have seen the light after the incident that ended his Derby career and he may be a changed man. In which case he may be a fantastic influence on the younger lads. I hope you are right, maybe he’s a changed man.

Working, CLASS, Club. Can't be signing someone like him with a mantra like that. Never been able to stand the c u next Tuesday. Surprised you’re not claiming he’s got some distant Dutch heritage so you can increase your transfer success %... Problem with all the bullshit you’ve posted over the years is it dilutes your credibility when you then try to take the moral high ground! Yeah not sure someone who lies for a living can adopt the moral high ground

This is a personal opinion but I have always thought he was vastly overrated. There's no doubt however that we need cover at Centre Half. It's also true we need more goals in the team but no rumours of any striking options. Danny ward will be fit soon

Taxi for Keogh!
(which would have solved all sorts of problems in 2019)

A few people have alluded to it already but for me my opinion on the signing is dependent on the length of the contract.
We are crying out for an experienced CB if Sarr is out as REG & Crichlow just don’t cut it collectively right now. So, if Keogh is brought in for the short term then it’s a underwhelming but shrewd signing, as he has bags of experience at this level.
He’s not going to be on high wages since he got sacked as he won’t have had a strong negotiation position when he was a free agent, given his age and his recent antics. To add to that, Derby fans seem to want him back so he really can’t be that bad.
I can’t believe people have completely lost their head over the rumour though.

Get rid of shite and bring more shite in. Bizarre signing Only bizarre if we offer him longer than this season. At the moment we have 2 young centre halves fit, plus Sarr who is either isolating or out for a few months. If Sarr is out for a few months then we need some experience at centre half NOW as it sounds as though only Stearman could be properly fit anytime soon. It would be short term, but if no long term targets are available now then it's a sensible option to get us through until the summer. At that point Elphick, Stearman, Schindler and Keogh would all be out of contract - with probably only one of Stearman or Schindler at best being offered a new deal.

You can't believe people lost their heads on DATM??? Really? Haha. My favourite one was 'I'm done with this club if we sign Keogh' We'll have more of it to look forward to this week. If he gets more than a 6 month contract just sit back with the popcorn and enjoy the OUTRAGE

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but unfortunately this transfer is happening. Jesus wept. This club goes from bad to worse. Absolutely no excuses for the abysmal lack of investment in quality.

Stearman must have been a good player, in his time! He makes too many errors & his legs have gone in my opinion. Let's hope he doesn't get a new contract! REG & Critchlow look promising, both of them need to bulk up - UTT.

It’s almost as if fans have first hand witnessed Phil sat sticking millions on red in Grosvenor casino, whilst we are sat 24th in the table and rumoured to be signing Phil’s brother as our new CB.

I don't know the length of contact but I do know we have actually bought him from mk dons for a 6 figure fee. Whether town announce as undisclosed I don't know but he's coming and we have paid for him 🙈

Terrible piece of business. From an ethical, financial and sporting point of view it ticks no boxes. Panic buy. So much for wanting to develop promising young players.

What I don't understand is how on earth can Preston afford better players than us. We keep being told we are skint because of Covid yet Preston don't have parachute payments or fans yet still manage to outdo us. Big Phil went on the radio to tell us all everyone was going bust and we would win the league by default! Somebody better tell the mighty Preston they aren't playing by the rules!
We now sign a 74 year old drink driver to bolster our ranks.
Fuck me sideways

Perfect time to let the two young lads get some serious game time as a partnership. Bring Keogh in if we must, as back up if things don’t go well?

Honesty and integrity.
Family club.
We buy Richard keogh after his antics last year.
I know I defend PH a lot, but is he still on the xmas ale?
I cant defend him for this one.

Wow, I went away thinking we couldnt do much worse than Holmes, how wrong can you be. Imagine when it comes round to selling season tickets for next year, the club are perhaps aiming for a bigger joke than the team sheet from yesterday.

We had an alleged woman beater playing right back last season and it didn't cause this much of a stir.

The current Town administration have decided not to go down that route and to be sustainable All debts have to be repaid as we know all too well.
