Could we look back and see what people were saying when we signed Koroma?

Ipswich are getting Troy Parrott (currently on loan at Millwall so I can excuse his struggle this season with how they play) the highly rated spurs youngster (Have an irish mate and a Spurs supporting mate who say he's extremely talented) to replace Jackson, in honestly id rather us get him than Jackson. I wouldn't touch him myself. Talented, but not the brightest, a wannabe gangster. Dead Parrott sketch waiting to happen!

Apparently this lad is out of contract at the end of the season. I wonder if this is a low-risk try-before-you-buy exercise before a permanent move in the summer, which would be sensible. Although his record this season is fairly uninspiring, the fact Bournemouth were after him not long back does give some hope as they clearly saw him in the Callum Wilson mould.
We'll see. It's not a headline signing, but might prove sensible.

I've never heard of him, but the fact Bournemouth were interested suggests he's probably better than what we have (not difficult I know).

The following is from my mate who follows Ipswich:
Pacey but doesn't seem to offer much else. I think he's from Leeds so might suit him. We're not exactly blessed with fit strikers though so we'd have to bring someone else in.
When I told him who else we were looking at. He said we'd be better off with Lee Gregory.

Looks like another player who’s mainly been played out of position on not to his strengths, not sure what we need right now but could be potential under carlos’s guidance.

Got a similar quote from a lad at work who is unfortunately an Ipswich season ticket holder 'He's not terrible, however he is pretty fast. Works best with a two up front but Paul Lambert the clown converted to one up top and now he isn't used. The season before he was paired up top with James Norwood and played well and we rejected offers of about 1 million pounds for him which we stupidly rejected and now he is out of contract at the end of the season'.

Local radio this morning has said Bradford were busy (2 in) but Leeds and Town didn't bring anyone in

The window was open for 44,580 minutes in January. We waited until 44,550 of them had passed before making a bid, leaving insufficient time to get the deal over the line.
Exactly the same as we did with Aarons.
Chimpanzees untouched by man have developed the ability to learn from their previous mistakes. It seems Bromby & Devlin aren’t that developed. We may as well have these two running recruitment, the similarities are astounding...

It's a believable story, but I'm not sure FLW is the most reliable of sources.

"The Championship side are known to have been in the market for a striker on deadline day, firstly seeing a move for Lee Gregory fail as he joined Derby County from Stoke City. Huddersfield also showed interest in Birmingham’s Lukas Jutkiewicz and, after being knocked back there, made their move for Jackson. Moves were also made for Norwich's Josip Drmic and Matt Smith of Millwall." Just like me in my Visage days. Could've hooked up with a solid 6/10 at midnight, but thought I could negotiate better. Cue me running around at 1.59pm and getting knocked back by a load of 3/10 fatties when Careless Whisper starts up.

Probably more reliable tbf. Nowadays they all just rehash the same crap whether it's true or not. Occasionally the local football reporter will get a yes or no about whether a club is or isn't interested in a player, but that's about it.

You'd think we would have learnt by now that leaving it to the final seconds doesn't work

You'd think we would have learnt by now that leaving it to the final seconds doesn't work It doesn’t sound like he was a first, second or third choice for us. As with Keogh and the new keeper we probably just wanted short term cover until summer, which in the Jan window isn’t what most players want. One goal from 12 appearances and still two matches of a ban to serve doesn’t make him a hot contender I guess.

Trying to scramble around to bring in a loan from league 1, who can't get into their team, late on deadline day & failing, tells you everything you need to know about our club atm.

There's enough crap going around the club without you making more up about 'Can't get into their team' regarding this potential signing. He's been suspended for 3 games so wasn't playing. Then he found that a deal that would have probably doubled, trebled or even quadrupled his wages hasn't gone through. I bet you'd be a bit pissed off if that happened to you and you couldn't do anything about it. I'm not surprised he's ended up exiled to the u23s he's currently out of work in the summer and utterly fucked if he gets a serious injury between now and then.

He's started 7 games for them all season & was left on the bench for their FA cup defeat to Portsmouth. The sending off has just sent him further down the pecking order.

Reading between the lines, it looks like he's angry about the move here failing & wanting to push through a move.
Worrying attitude if so, and perhaps also a worrying lack of research into HTFC.
