I used to think if a club has paid 12 million pound for a player at some point then there must be something decent about them. Huddersfield Town has made me realise that’s not always the case. Well he definitely did have something . I’ve said it before but first half at Stamford Bridge in relegation season particularly he frightened Chelsea to death. Probably had a handful of other good games and that in itself is shocking over 3 plus years (and no goals!). It will remain a mystery as to why he could never replicate those infrequent good performances.

Everton have always been pretty good at picking a player and whilst I'd agree he could be as useless as Diakhaby, he does have a better record prior to coming to England.
We've shown now that we're more than capable of creating plenty of chances, for one reason or another it really isn't working for Campbell at the moment and when Mounie had a patch like that it last nearly 18 months, granted the football was dire then which makes it even more ridiculous we got rid and ended up in this position.
We can't afford to risk another baron spell that long and if he's made it to that level I'm pretty sure he would have buried some of the chances gone begging lately.
Hope there is some truth in this, would be a far better option than the underwhelming ones linked on deadline day. He's also labelled a "flop" but when he actually got a run in the Everton team he got 8 in 22. Better than any of ours managed.

I’m just pleased that (if true) we are still looking to sign a striker. Niasse would be a good solution imo.

If true I’d be happy with this one. The guy has some pedigree even if he has regressed over the last few seasons. Carlos seems to be able to switch players on and I hope he could get Niasse ticking. Although I have to admit I can’t really pin what sort of striker he is. Vaguely remember him scoring a few at Everton but wasn’t he used as a sub quite a bit? Is he a back to goal player? Did a double take on your post i thought you wrote " he could get in asse tickling" lol😂

Wasn’t there some joke that if this guy stood in wall next to Koch and some other player it made an amusing sentence? Cocknyass! My favourite for in a line is: Michu Amat De Gea Ba how about "Brown,Sarr,Niasse"? Brown Sarnie arse!! ,😄 Elphick,Sarr an Niasse. That sentence could sound like "I'll feck Sarr in the ass" depending on the comentators accent.

Just need Maynard to come along and rule us out of this one now I think the Town recruitment team can be relied on to do that. They’ve had two windows now to address the squad’s biggest and most obvious weakness and haven’t managed it.

No idea who does the deals at Town, no shirt sponsor, the Aarons mess in October and now we're back in the free agent market talking up a guy who hasn't scored in two years and hasn't played a professional game of football in over a year
I really hope Niasse comes in and does brilliant - but seriously we do look like an amateur outfit at times

Here was the list at the start of last season, I count 98. So we've lost 72 partners web.archive.org/web/20190829184219/https://htafccommercial.com/partners/

I've heard, despite Doris trying to milk the deal nearly put things up the spout, her transfer to Darjeeling FC is in the bag. Think its been brewing ever since her alleged fling with Danny Caddymarteri a few years back.

Fingers crossed we sign him as we need someone up top to help Campbell out and as bad as people say his scoring record is, its probably as good as Campbell in recent years. He had a good run of games for Everton at one point and scored some goals. If it does come off a run of games, some decent chances and a lesser standard of defenses you can hope it works out. If it doesn't and its a 6 month contract then we have at least given it a chance.

If this is happening it'd be good to get him in and training as quick as possible, assuming he will take a few weeks to get up to speed each day that passes is time lost.

Unless he is willing to accept an offer that will likely be less than a third of what he was on at Everton I honestly can't see this one happening.
Hope he's more interested in getting back playing football than chasing a lucrative contract with unrealistic wages for a championship club, particularly in the current climate.
