We had a couple of meet ups on the NFL/MLB sports threads a few years ago that lead to me thoroughly enjoying watching baseball games in San Francisco and Toronto with Phil in Cali and Doc Halliday. Also some boozy pre match sessions with Stavros and his crew before an NFL game at Wembley, and Rothwell (plus Mrs Rothwell) with Cleveland Brown Terrier at Twickers. Happy days they were!
I'm up for a pint with y'all as soon as we're allowed.

Today, I learned the sad news that a lad I was pally with when I was living in Sheffield has died - he was only 36.
I popped over to Owlstalk as he was a big contributor. There are pages and pages on there paying tribute to him. And one of the most common things being said was: Known him on here (Owlstalk) forever. Talked about going for a pint for years. Gutted I missed out.
Never know what's around the corner, do you? Get a pint in whilst you can.
I loved living by myself. I worked in an office with 20 blokes my age. Back-and-forth conversation all day. I went out for after-work drinks twice a week. Saw my parents twice a week. Took out a bird twice a week. Went mental watching Town once a week. Lovely stuff.
And now I try my best to get a conversation out of the Amazon delivery bloke, because it's the only person I'll speak to that day. Honestly, I think 4 days is my record.
So, I think we all deserve a pint.
I'm in the same boat, mate. I'm practically on first name terms with the old dears at Aldi, but that's about it!
If/when this pint is happening, I'm there - no question.
