Derby really effectively smothered us tbh. They're a well organised side. We didn't have an answer to it at all and just have to dust ourselves down for the next one.
shit to watch, but there's always going to be games like that in a season.

God that Birmingham game next week is huge truly believe if we lose that we are down! Worryingly, Birmingham played well tonight and were very unfortunate to lose. We played well other day and won...not that it counted for much today!

Not saying we were any great shakes but am I the only person who thought Derby looked really, really good? Credit where it's due, a few people thought Rooney wasn't "cerebral" enough to be a manager, but if he isn't then somebody on his coaching staff certainly is. Exceptionally well drilled, pressed us superbly, strong, good on the ball. On paper I thought they were better than their league position suggests & tonight I felt they were as good as anything we've faced this season (caveat -I missed the Bournemouth match).
Worrying that we offered so little going forward though, and Saturday won't be easy.

Chill folks, we'll survive... Why so sure? I just think we've enough to scrape by that's all... We're a real enigma, we stick 4 goals past the team with the best defensive record, prior to that we lose to Wycombe after having a 2-0 lead. We've had a consistency and goals problem for yrs, but still think we'll scrape it. We need a reset as a team though, the psychology within the camp must be shot.

I’m a big believer in first impressions. The only time I’ve seen Schofield play (I don’t watch iFollow) was for Notts County a couple of years ago. Not impressed one bit and to me he just didn’t even look like a goalkeeper. Seems nothing has changed.
Never ever rated Jayden Brown and Duhaney. Blatantly obvious they’re nowhere near Championship level and never will be.

It's Phil and the inept board that need to go, no manager on the planet would do any better with this squad. If this bloke had players he'd build a decent side. Again, I don’t disagree with this but CC can surely see these players cannot pass around the back but still continues to play this way and we’ve been worked out. CC needed to change tactics weeks ago and get us up the pitch but we continue to make huge and critical mistakes in front of our own goal. CC could work these tactics with better players but we can all see these players aren’t good enough playing this way. A good coach tries something else to fit the players he has. CC hasn’t done this but just keeps trying to get the players we have playing his way. It just isn’t working. I agree with you I know what you're saying. CC had had enough time to see this lot don't have the required quality. I'm just looking at the root cause of this mess which comes from the top (combination of Dean and Phil). But yes I agree, he should now see we need a different way of trying to earn points. I think we're down personally, can't believe how quick we have disintegrated.

Surely the most worrying aspect of tonight is that we had no fight against one of our relegation rivals. By some incredible feat if we manage to stay up this season, we will only prolong the fall for another season. Just imagine another transfer window under Phil, and what the team will look like. Its frightening to think what the line up will look like next season under this regime. Never mind expecting champagne football on beer money, we have basically ordered the fucking tap water. That team and those tactics tonight were League 2 standard and by full time, the team that was out would probably look at home in the conference.

Sadly, that's what happens when Hogg doesn't play. We have no one in midfield capable of organising and dictating. No presence at all. Weak as fuck.
Add in the utterly soft goals we concede and the result is obvious.
We were shite tonight, and deserved to lose, but both goals were so preventable. The mistakes before both were amateurish.
And let's be honest, other than the two goals, Derby created knack all too. We gift wrapped those three points for them and never once looked like being able to alter the result.

Just two goals in injury time Oti mate, it finished 2-1. Everyone showed it 2-2 for a while.....7m still does. Story of my life....the draw was my bet of the day. First two proper bets of the day backed two draws. Both had injury time winners. Backed Valur women odd goals earlier. 8-0 with a 92nd minute goal. Only highlight is Derby netting me £400.....unless Town get TWO injury time goals FT [4]Morecambe 2 - 2 Salford City F.C.[5] 0-1 I am more rotten than Town. I backed the draw heavily in all of these games tonight. Sutton 93rd min winner. Wigan 95th min winner. Morecambe 96th min winner. AFC Dons 89th min winner. Barrow 89th min winner. Tranmere 88th min winner. Last minute for me today? Not one of course. I once had nine single games in a row with a last minute winner against me. Perhaps i should just go and support L&&ds.

This Derby team are what Town would've been if the Cowleys had been given a second season. I think it's better for CC if we go down to L1 so he can fully evaluate the kids, but we'd have been a mid table Championship team if Phil hadn't doubted the Bros and had his head turned by Bromby. But Derby didn't play for a draw from the off Yes they did! Town lost the game with two horrendous losses of possession in crucial areas. Derby offered nothing going forward all game long.

I think they were 11 or 12 points behind us around Christmas.

I can’t really say much more about them as the didn’t have the ball and didn’t create any chances. Their goals were from a set piece and one long punt forwards. To be fair to them, if you can defend then you have every chance of picking up points. Just a shame defending is something that we find so challenging.

Out of our squad tonight how many get Championship clubs if released?
Schofield: No Pipa: Yes Duhaney: No Keogh: No Sarr: Maybe Rowe: Maybe he’s young O’Brien: Yes Bacuna: No Vallejo: probably not Holmes: No Campbell: No
High: No Thomas: unknown Mbenza: Probably too expensive Brown: No Leutwiller: No Pritchard: Unless they’re brain dead Stearman: No Edmonds Green: Maybe he’s young Phillips: Maybe he’s young
Premier League legacy eh?

Remember when Phil said “what a player, what a player!!!” When asked about Jaden Brown? Apparently Tottenham wanted to keep him... more bullshit from the club, I guess we had spurs pants down stealing him. He is shit, always has been... same with duhaney.

A number of these youngsters would have never got a chance if it wasn't for all the injuries. Now we know. Possibly Schofield and Aaron Rowe might get a game next season, but the others are just also-rans. Hang on Kenny, these are the best of a group of super talented youngsters at the club. The same ones the club kept pumping up pre season so as to avoid signing players. Brown's bolt is probably shot after that. High and Phillips looked just like the boys that they are. You can bring players through but they need experience around them and most of our experience is injured. I'm at a loss to think what we do with the young players to be honest... it doesn't seem like they can make the step up.

When we have people as fast as Thomas and Mbenza on why don’t we just lump it forward for them to run onto. Yes most of the time it would have come to nothing but their pace risks fouls on them and the keeper making a mistake. It isn’t how we would want to play but at 2-0 surely you try something different.
We have Sarr lumping aimless long balls just to noone

Exactly... only the fucking happy clappers think there is a chance of play offs. One result in 11 and they think we are safe. A team with brown, duhaney, schofield, high and keogh plus half arsed bacuna is bang in trouble. Yep we all care but? Yeah we all care, saturday comments on here, to tonights, my god its 1 game. Move on to next game nob end on sat. But it isn’t one game is it? It’s Wycombe, it’s Boro, it’s Stoke, it’s Millwall and I could go on and they are the games in last 6 weeks or so. I know when people start using abusive name calling though that i am wasting my time having a reasoned discussion.

Can't wait for Shortbread Pete to come back on and tell us all that we're wrong and that Phil has a masterplan and is not to blame for a single thing. I presume he'll be on soon after he's stopped sucking Phil's cock. Not good. Pete is as positive as I am negative, nowt wrong with that. He's one of the nicest blokes you'd have the pleasure of meeting too. Does he like shortbread ?
