Head Coach Carlos Corberán added:
“He has been training with a professional team in France from September until he made the journey to England, which means he should be in a better physical condition. He will still need a little time, and we will work with him to make him ready to help the team in the last part of the season.”It sounds like he's in the country isolating and having a COVID test before he can join up later this week.

Ridiculous situation the club has got itself into and it should be embarrassed at having to make signings such as this. Amazed that Bromby and Corberan can even be serious and keep a straight face when welcoming him. Probably won’t even see him till April. Laughable. Good luck Yaya, welcome to the club. Now go and make me eat my words. I can only assume, plus Maynard’s summer strikers comments, that we have a plan for next season which has made stop gap signings difficult. Players moving clubs mostly won’t want just until the end of the season, Keogh being an exception with the increase in wage, so we get out of contracts who just want to play and earn. It is a very tough time for supporters and the club. All we can hope is that there is a plan, it happens this summer and we are still in this division.

On a serious note I hope he’s ready to make his debut soon.

On a serious note I hope he’s ready to make his debut soon. We need something different up front and if he can hold the ball up it at least gives us other options to kicking it about at the back for ages. It may depend on how much he wants to prove himself to get another contract with us or another club. All unknowns until we see him play.

Looking at the highlights video, I don't think I've seen longer hamstrings! Worrying.

Apparently, he has two left feet, so let's hope he's left footed.

The biggest shake up at the club has to come in Recruitment, we have absolutely no plan whatsoever and we are now signing players through sheer desperation.
Bromby and Marsh have to go.

According to Transfermarkt he's scored 36 goals in 148 games, since the 2009/10 season.
On average, he's scored around 3 goals and played 13 games each season.

Perhaps caused by the utter mediocrity of the signings in the window, i've never been as excited at signing an out of contract free agent with worse stats than Alan Lee, and not enough highlights to knock together any kind of skillz movie!
Lets hope he can an immediate impact on the pitch

I think the 55 represents the number of minutes he will be on the pitch for Town this season.

Your judgement is clearly clouded by days gone by when we signed, apparently, good players in positions that needed filling and showed a clear and structured strategy with a eye on a long term plan supporting a future vision of a sustainable, successful and effective squad Get that half empty glass filled up!

I can't shake the horse chasing a helium filled balloon analogy from an earlier post somewhere in this thread. I hope my pessimism is misplaced and I will live to regret not drinking heartily from your cup of optimism, let's hope he is more Iffy Onoura than Malvin Kamara.

Got to say, i'm a bit concerned we're looking down the barrel at another Diakhaby! Just given myself something to look forward to away from all this rubbish. Pub beer gardens re-open 12th April and i've booked 4 days off to absolutely hammer it! Don't care if i have to take my own camping chair and an umbrella

I can understand why people feel underwhelmed but for me we needed some kind of help for the rest of the season and given our lack of progress in the last few windows these players on short term contracts are not going hurt us just give us some leeway, Campbell needs a rest now and again.

I’m expecting him to be a similar standard to Ishmael Miller. Any better than that and I will be pleasantly surprised.

He is considered to have flopped at Arsenal when he was 20-24 and only made 20 appearances in all competitions over 4 years. Last time I checked, Arsenal and the Premier League were a million miles ahead of where we currently are. He had a loan to Charlton in the Championship and scored 3 in 8 games, which is pretty good (albeit over a small sample size).
I'm not expecting him to be an absolute legend now but at least let him play some football before deciding he isn't good enough. He's only got to be as good as Campbell to be great in some peoples' eyes so the bar is pretty low.

He must know Naby Sarr already because they were both part of the France U20 world cup winning squad in 2013.
