Its local radio. They do a job. I like their coverage to be fair. I quite often go out running on a Saturday afternoon and listen to the commentary in radio.

It beast DTS and his hospital radio commentary skills...absurd shitness. Keeping players honest... Jesus wept 8 times tonight (counting it was much better than the match) His other favourite is the use of diligent, often when referring to a forward player tracking the run of the opposition. He isn't a commentator by trade and does an ok job of it. Put it this way, he is far better at describing what is happening than Oggy who is always behind the play. With him, you will get a lot of inane drivel followed by 'Goal Huddersfield Town' out of nowhere.

I really like their coverage Matt tells it as it is and oggy makes even the most dire match sound better than it is. The young lad his name escapes me is decent as well because i havnt been for that long they are part of my saturday routine .

Oggy has a real passion for Town and Matt is a dour Northerner who is both funny , open and honest. I see Matt every month, for a haircut, one time he was grumpy and I said “I thought it was supposed to be a cheerful experience having a haircut “ his reply was “depends who’s cutting it”.

Its on from 2-6pm every saturday without fail whilst i get on with over things.

He has grown on me has Glennon. He can be quite funny. Ogden steers away from controversy but I think hes ok. If you ever listen to other regional radio commentators you see how good he is. He does research the opposition properly as well. We've had RL so long now I cant imagine Town games without them.

I love it when Glennon comes out with “Bloody Hell” and Oggy is flapping around trying to cover it up.

But really he is doing a fantastic job when he is not a commentator by trade. I can't imagine the stress of having to commentate for 120 seconds never mind 120 minutes. Larry David - get some empathy buddy. I would like to get some popcorn out and listen to your depressing drivel...not.

Anybody listen to any of the muppets doing match commentary on other local radio stations? Be thankful for what you've got 'cos you'll miss it when the BBC scrubs local radio.

Is the 10 seconds behind Oggy's fault or iFollow? I tried listening to the radio once with iFollow pictures (on a PC that had no speakers!) and it was miles out of sync. I like Oggy, except for when he sometimes references Leeds much more often than he needs to, and then there is steam coming out of my ears.

Because Oggy is commentating for radio, which is a very different proposition - as all the top commentators will tell you. iFollow pulls in the Radio Leeds radio feed. That means an inevitable delay because of the technology, and a different style of commentary to TV commentary. I get that we're all pissed off at the moment, but let's direct our fire towards the worthy targets.

Just don't think he is a good describer of a game on the radio. How often does he paint the picture as to where the ball is on the field and how often does 'Goal' seem to come out of nowhere!!?

There have several instances where Glennon has jumped in to describe something that was actually happening whilst Oggy is describing something else, so imo he's still not very good. Also DTS said during the Luton game that he didn't have access to the iFollow pictures, but he still managed to describe what we were seeing .

Before our match I switched on Radio Leeds on the Leeds match.
Not for long. Their two were talking most of the time at the same time!

I think it was the brilliant Mike Ingham on Five Live who talked about being a radio specialist. If you're commentating on TV, you don't need to say "And the ball takes a bobble on its way back to the overweight leftback approximately 5 yards inside his own 18 yard box, roughly in line with the penalty spot". You can just say "played back to Jones". Oggy has to do the former because he's primarily commentating for the radio. DTS may not have the iFollow pictures, but he knows he's commentating for those who are, so can be much more direct. And, yeah, the ifollow / Radio Leeds delay is entirely caused by the technology. It's been referenced by Bradford City.

If i cant watch town i dont bother with the radio, if i can i just watch the goals programme, even well before sky football coverage i wasnt an avid listener in the rare event i wasnt at the game. Been lots of debate in the past about Radio Leeds being obsessed with Leeds utd, well it is called radio Leeds afterall, and currently they are going to be very obsessed with them.

TVs can be very difficult to carry and seem to loose their signal quite a lot. Curved TV is good for going around corners through!

I prefer radio to the ones who bizarrely get the plaudits, like Jonathan (shouty) Pearce and Clive (useless statistics) Tyldesley...
