They'll simply let us have the ball; that's all they have to do to beat us. Easy home win after yet more catastrophic defending.

Blimey, our last win there was 10 days before I was born 🥵 So in the last 3 away games it's been 35 years since a win at Boro, 64 at Derby and 51 at Preston that's a total of 150 years!!!

And how many years was it since Liverpool lost 4 home games?
Records are made to be broken, says the optimist who’s voted that he thinks we’ll win and has just spent another tenner to watch it!

With the players currently available and our record at PNE, i would say an away win should be the longest odds of any game in the top 4 divisions this weekend

Don’t think we have a prayer on Saturday. Not a lucky ground for us and too many injuries.

Don’t think we have a prayer on Saturday. Not a lucky ground for us and too many injuries. Plus we can't play physical teams and we have a goalie who doesn't like the ball in the air. It'll be like the blitz.

Blimey, our last win there was 10 days before I was born 🥵 Were you born on a Thursday? I seem to remember the match was on a Monday night. I remember the two 30-yarders, but have no recollection of Roy's injury. As 13 year-olds we laughed at our 18 year-old friend and driver who was really worried at 3-1 and was kicking every ball, but from the match report it seems Town gave him good cause. Given that my first ever away win was at Preston on 1 April 1967, it's been increasingly hard to take 16 games without a win there (of which I've seen 11). In the 1974-75 relegation season, we lost 4-0 and it could have been 15. Bobby Charlton hit the crossbar with a penalty that rebounded way over the players' heads. How did we manage to lose in Wagner's first season after practically crucifying them? It'll probably be another defeat tomorrow, but I have the same unaccountable optimism that I had last Saturday (though definitely not on Tuesday).

Top class work. The actual match record, I believe, is Played 50 (!), Drawn 11, Lost 39. And the fixture list puts all three in a row for us. Your homework for Tuesday is to tell us how many times we've drawn 1-1 at home to Birmingham and, for Friday, what happened to turn Cardiff around from being our home rabbits (we once went something like 19 home games with 17 wins and only one defeat) to being unbeatable. Perhaps all this pain will start to be turned round in the next 7 days.

Tough game It's a shame we don't have hoggy available because Vallejo looks so much more comfortable in a back 3 and stops hogg having to drop in as much.
I literally don't know what side I'd play tomoro.

On Danny Ward
He's still working with the medical staff and he's not yet working with the group. They're constantly analysing the situation and how much pain he is in.
I wonder if they are analysing the fans!

I wonder if they are analysing the fans! Think we know what a pain DW is,is he really taking his money and still able to look the rest of the squad in the eyes? Bet someone like Hoggy must have some choice thoughts about his commitment!

I’m unclear of the link between his commitment and being injured (unless there’s some evidence that he’s milking it which I’d find hard to believe
