Someone supposedly at a Wedding last weekend where Duane Holmes was at on our forum reckons Lewis O’Brien heading to West Ham for £12m? Lots of admirers of LOB from Hudds connected Leeds Fans and those who have admired his performances on TV and see him as ideal for our Midfield regardless of if we sell Kalvin Phillips and/or Raphinha. Relatively cheap option at £12/£13m these days and difference of opinion as to if he could step up or not. Personally think he is excellent and would be well worth that. And following on from Holmes and Toffs wedding , Lewis and Danny Ward are at Lee Nicholls wedding today at Lake Como! Wonder what LOB had to say about Holmes and Toff getting wed!!! |

Don’t think that would have have any impact on a move for O’Brien at all, they’re short in cm with noble retiring and soucek looking to move. I’d be shocked if they could only make a move happen if rice goes. |

As there is allegedly this £10m release clause in the latest contract he signed, I wonder if it is stipulated therein as to what the sell-on clause would be.
Given that his stock has risen this last 12 months and some may no longer feel the £10m is enough to have to sell him for in the current market, it would be interesting if we asked for the maximum allowable (have I read somewhere this can be 45% ?)

Wonder if the Chestwankers bringing in the Spanish guy from Bayern means them being out of the race for Lewis?
Incidentally, the disappointed reaction of their fans to the Spanish signing is laughable. Anyone would think they should be competing with City and Liverpool for the world's best.....

New manager is poaching from his old club and I get the impression that Lewis isn’t his style of player. Crystal Palace were knocked back last year. Another where they are looking to change formation and style. West Ham link seems speculative at best. When you look at who these teams are recruiting, he’s not on the top of their wish list and if he were, the deal would be done by now as he has a price set with his release clause. I know there’s a long time to go and plenty of chess pieces to move, but there’s usually smoke where there’s fire and it’s all too quiet. |

There’s no guarantee he’ll be offski and all I’m saying is I think the interest has cooled on him a bit. Now I’ve said that, cue Monday a story breaks that a PL team wants him, sold/signed by Friday 🤣 |
