Haven't you just described all football fans of any club? Exactly.. thats my point. We think we're special but actually we are pretty much the same as others. So making huge wage rise the main factor My take is that if he is settled in the area and enjoys playing for the club whilst on decent wages then he may be of the character to stay and take us one step further next season. Granted, there are many mercenary footballers out there just looking for the next pay check but O Brien does not strike me as that type of footballer. His performances have never tailed off because of a grumble or a complaint. I guess I'm hoping more than expecting but the togetherness this squad showed last season would be ripped apart if we lost the spine of our team. Dean should be looking at the one or two positions we need strengthening in and building our team around players like that, not dismantling a play off final side. We are a striker, left winger and attacking midfielder away from being a class team in this division. With the manager working miracles the way he has and instilling the ethics he has some investment might just lead to larger gains. If not he can always sell them next season.

Would agree except we still need to replace Colwill for me.

So if a kid is settled etc , enjoys his football etc and someone comes along and says "come to us , settle here and we will pay you 20 grand a month more " (just as an example ) you wouldn't take it ? That's not being mercenary that's common sense .

Whatever's happening is becoming a joke. I don't get why we haven't sold him if he's the only way we can bring anyone else in.

Well we're fucked then aren't we because all the good players will be gone by the time a Premier League club comes in for him at the end of Augst.

With Kalvin Phillips moving to Man City, could that then see the trigger of the buy-out clause and see him off to Elland Road - could do a similar job in their midfield.

However, don’t think Phillips leaving changes Leeds’ stance to bring in Lewis or not, as it would be a poor replacement if it was directly for Phillips. That being said, I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Leeds for O’Brien..

Was gonna post something similar Porrohman, vastly overrated, especially the so called passing ability! And his tackling? If the refs hadn't been sucking L**** dong all season him and a few others would have seen a lot more yellows and reds! To say they broke the PL cards record despite the leniency says quite a bit about L**** this season, Revie would have been proud!!!

An upgrade on Boyle would be nice though I think you missed how it works now, the club buys them in cheap, Turton, Boyle etc and then Carlos upgrades them.

If Boyle is a better player in 12 months time than he is now, I won't be surprised - but he is just one player. He's a replacement for Sarr or he's a replacement for Colwill, but he can't be both.

The only way LOB will stay is if the club start showing a little ambition and not settling for a mid table place.

Has nowhere near the passing range Phillips has. O'Brien is perfectly capable of passing sideways and backwards So Pep one of the best managers of all time, has gone after a player who can’t pass forwards, in a team renowned for their fast build up play? Hilarious.

if LOB leaves, i’ll forever blame the chant! 😀 can’t the fan base go out with a joint plea: “stay Lewis and we promise to never ever mention Ron Wesley again!”? 😜
