That's the bit that 'worries' me more, especially Toffolo. On the field, apart from a late season purple patch Toffolo was OK and hopefully Ruffels and Yuta, a Japanese International, should be able to cover his absence. Off the field he was a leader and a connection between the supporters and the club, this will be more difficult to replace. Sarr was clearly a well loved character too. The players thought the world of Carlos. Looks like Hogg will have his work cut out again. Hogg, Lees, Pearson, Ward, Nicholls, and Rhodes are all pretty clearly senior figures in the dressing room who lead by example. We've recruited the last year or two to build a resilient culture within the team, we'll be absolutely fine on that front I'm sure.

Both Toffolo and LOB were aware of how highly they were regarded at this club. Plus the one regarded higher than them all, Mooy decides to join Celtic. Proof that loyalty only ever extends as far as the fan base and then ceases to exist. We’ll’ have new hero’s to support this season , as we always do. As far as I’m concerned they’re all history. Bring on the new season and a team of players who want to play for us.

My abiding image of Mooy is him looking utterly ashamed (as a seasoned international player) standing in a Town kit with a massive Paddy Power sash across it.
Literally, only Town would do that. It cemented our tinpot credentials and showed we’d sell ourselves to anyone, and do anything, for a few quid.
No way was he ever coming back.

I've hundreds of fantastic abiding memories of Mooy playing for us. Surprised something as trivial as that even registers - depends what gets you going I guess. I'm pretty sure he was big enough to treat it all as a bit of a laugh at the time - he seems a really well rounded fellow to me.

Thanks, I’d just about erased that shoddy episode from my mind. Truly cringeworthy.

Two of our best players gone for a total of £10 million, that's shocking, panic selling it seems. Evidently we're not in good financial shape, especially now that the parachute £££ have stopped.

We can only sell them for what someone is willing to pay. That then gives someone else an opportunity to make the step up. Depending on how the season goes we might be looking at £15m for Yuta and Rudoni if they have good seasons. Or we get a load for Thomas, Russell etc. It’s not as though we’re selling the house and moving to a caravan, we’ve got good pathways and plenty more talent.

Im absolutely shocked of thats the case. Lob is twice the player billing is. Town oversold billing and lob is in the same price bracket. Where is the "reported" 10m coming from? The contract release clause? Im shocked anyone sensible thinks selling lob for 10m is a good thing to do, especially Dean. Player of the season 2 years running. If it buys us 5 midfielders and a striker or 2 im all for it. As has been said elsewhere its bought us 3 midfielder replacements already (I think I've been busy).

Why is it shocking? Toffolowas in the final year of his contract - worth at the end of the season - £0 - yes his contribution this year may have been welcome - we will never know but we appear to have sigened a Japanese international to replace him. O'BrienIt appears nobody but Forest were interested in buying O'Brien or at least not willing to pay what Forest are paying. Town have a reputation of allowing people to develop and then move on to bigger things at the appropriate time. The fact that we haven't stopped O'Brien leaving will be seen by other possible future players of what is possible. We have done similar deals for Grant, Butterfield, Coady. It would appear that the money we have achieved for O'Brien is the best we can get - we could perhaps have kept him and let the resentment at not being allowed to play at the highest level fester, spoiling his relationship with the club and possibly his performances. The only thing shocking and panicky about the whole thing would appear to be your response to it.

Goals and assists are the biggest currency in football and as good a footballer as Lewis is, he doesn’t score or assist enough for Premier League teams.

You've reported me ? "The decorum of the board " You really need to get a life When a guy loses his shit .. backtracks.. loses his shit..backtracks ... for a bloody decade . I think its completely fair and reasonable to point it out .. because it is .. imo .. contrary to "the decorum of the board" So tena obviously relates to what is known in this country as "bedwetting " , of which you are probably the best example on this board . I wouldn't be surprised if I do get banned for rightfully calling you an embarrassing bedwetter as the "rules " on this board have gone completely mad .. so if that's the case adios and I hope it makes you feel good. Your mother must be very proud Bringing mothers into it now, how pathetic. There is only one person sad enough to trawl through users posts to prove a point and spend most of their day posting shite about absolute strangers. For 10 years equally I have had to put up with your condescending bullshit and trolling almost every one of my posts because you have taken a dislike to me. You talk to people like absolute crap because you are sat punching away on your keyboard with your sausage fingers like you are 10 men. Most write far worse on here, there is far worse on this thread however you choose to ignore this. Maybe you do need some time away from this forum to concentrate on what goes on in the real world. P.s my mother is proud. big em completely agree, this is my 1st log on since 3rd July, my account was hacked by my x partner, who was 1st to pick up on it?, you probably got it correct!!. the guy needs to get a life, probably stop watching his potatoes growing in his potting shed, may get more time for constructive comments. the guy needs banning for a month IMO, read some of his posts as a guest, deary deary me😂😂, oh ps little ted didnt troll ya account read as a guest!! may go bookies to see when you get to 58k posts!!

Times reckon the florists are offering Lingard £200,000 a week. At this rate they won't have any money left for the refs.

Talking yesterday to a relative ( forest ST holder) who rang me mainly to brag about taking LO and HT off us for peanuts , said he’d backed forest for a top 4 finish 150/1 £10. Told him he might as well throw £10 in bin deluded FWit . Still think they’ve hit gold with signing LO though class act.

If they buy colwil and or another defender they'll probably stay up one season. They will need a better midfield and another one or 2 up to on top of what they've already bought. The Greek loves a gamble by the look of him.
