I have a DAB radio and retuned it but still couldn't find the town game...only Bradford..I'm in Holmbridge.. Get it on iFollow but despite retuning the radio twice more there's no sign of the new station ... Are you going to send this feedback to RL ? I would like to send it to them, yes, but ideally want to know which areas are not receiving as they will probably be more accommodating if it's a widespread problem and not just one area. It certainly seems that there is a bigger problem than may be expected. Can't seem to get the 12d signal in Linthwaite ☹️

I've complained to the BBC and had this reply Thank you for contacting the BBC with your query.
Until 1st April, Radio Leeds played the Huddersfield Town matches on both the 11B and 12D Multiplexes.
From 1st April, some Huddersfield Town fixtures (where they clash with Bradford City fixtures) will be only on 12D. Bradford City will be on 11B.
Bradford and Huddersfield are both served by the same transmitter, and that only has one version of Radio Leeds on it. As such we have to choose to both or Huddersfield Town commentary to both when there is a clash.
For those that want to listen to Huddersfield Town commentary when there is a clash (and cannot receive 12D), we’re going looking to make changes to Freeview. At present the version of Radio Leeds that is carried contains the Bradford City feed; we’re going to change that to the Huddersfield Town version.
I hope this clarifies the situation and that you’re able to enjoy Huddersfield Town commentary in the future.
Kind regards,
Jonathan Philpott

I'm in Silsden, the last 2 games... 1st Bradford on Radio Leeds utd +FM + AM... 2nd Bradford on Radio Leeds Utd +FM +AM... The second Dab channel has just returned not on air. It is to do with the combined transmission for the funeral on Saturday... Hopefully we will get some sort of normality from Sunday... But it is the BBC 😒🤔🤔

As I understand it, Town will be on FM going forward when Leeds United do not play at the same time. If you are unlucky enough not to have the right version of DAB (12D Leeds) when all three West Yorkshire clubs kick-off at the same time, your only option to get commentary will be Freeview 719 on your telly. It hasn't happened much this season though and if it happens again, I'll just take the car to a point where I can get the right DAB signal! Not ideal, but at least RL seem to have listened to what I guess were many complaints. In a nutshell, tomorrow's game is on FM and DAB 12D.

When Town got shoved onto DAB they said it was for the best because they could devote the whole channel to Town, even if half the fanbase couldn't access it. Now it seems some local minnows are on it as well.

Don't ask because I have been sworn to secrecy; all that I will say is that is not any of the names put forward in this or any previous thread on this very prickly topic, and that the reasoning behind it was that DAB was a better quality signal even though doing this would mean that a very high percentage of Town fans wouldn't be able to access it! It should have been Gareth Jones' call but for reasons that I will keep to myself he wasn't available when push came to shove and thus it fell to someone else... Tantalising, I know...

I couldn't possibly confirm or deny; an oath is an oath. Well I never. Who would have thought it... Don't go jumping to any conclusions! As I said, I have absolutely not confirmed anything! You can, of course, think/believe what ever you like. And for what it's worth, I live in Lincolnshire and can't get it on my DAB radio (nor could I when I lived near Mansfield)

Don't think the frequency or quality of it has 'owt to do with it. FM has to be the most accessible and even when we were in the greedy league, Leeds United would have been more important to RL, hence why they are on FM. The BBC always say that it's a numbers game and the numbers of listeners on a Leeds commentary versus a town commentary do not even closely compare. They are bound to go for the one which gets the most as IK guess they are judged on their listener numbers at the end of the day. I don't think there will be any big hidden secret here at all on rationale, but just in case - at the time in 2016 Gareth Jones deputy would almost certainly have been be none other than Adam Pope who lives in Huddersfield and of course commentates on the Leeds games! We're looking too deeply. We are always going to be at least second best when it comes to this! We'll see if the proof is in the pudding with tomorrow's coverage. Hopefully, RL have realised that someone made a bit of an error over the last two games.

If you're lucky enough to be able to pick it up then there is another radio Leeds on the DAB you have to scroll through the channels. On my device I have an info button that I can press which after pressing a few times gives me the channel.

New season, same old wank coverage from Radio Leeds, still can't listen to Town on DAB and FM reception is hopeless. They claim to have 2 DAB frequencies but only 1 is on air, I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO FUCKING BRADFORD CITY THANK YOU VERY MUCH
