Bromby has coaching experience, doesn't he? We won't have to worry about his role when he takes over from Carlos as a cheap option. Sadly, this is only half tongue in cheek.

I don’t really know enough to be honest Some business has been decent like sarr and eiting. I would credit CC and coaches with pipa and vallejo Things I don’t know though Who got rid of John iga ... the guy who got us fit enough to do gegenpressing with very few injuries. Contrast to this season Who was messing around with Walsall in January Who didn’t take the option on stankovic contract All three dropped balls IMO Sarr ? Surely we are aspiring to better than a centre half who gifts goals every other week

I would rather we keep Carlos over Bromby.

I feel for the guy, who would say no to being offered that role? That said, the appointment smacks of being done on the cheap and given we were in the Premier league only 3 years ago we should be aiming much higher.
He has had some hits player wise in Pipa and Eiting but his obsession with signing former players is utterly bizarre. I can't forgive him for signing Holmes. He wasn't good enough for us in League 1 yet says he was our no 1 target.
Holy fuck...and gave him a 3 year contract

Don't think we can give that to Bromby.

Is it definitely Bromby who is responsible for bringing player's in, but let's face it you cant get it right every time but Holmes is not the right player for a CC team.

I can guarantee there will have been times when polls would have shown this for both Ross Wilson and Stuart Webber.
I'm not saying that Bromby is fit for the job, but I think it's a very easy thing to say to get rid of him when we don't know what his job actually entails, the power he has, the amount of say etc.

John Stones is regularly dropped by Guardiola and not picked for England due to silly mistakes I believe we a close to 20 errors leading to goals conceded this season, Sarr will be top of the list of the culprits. The question is, has his overall play/defending/goals scored outweighed the mistakes he has made ? Sarr's main asset is his heading ability. Take that away and he's a league one defender. We definitley need to sign a better all-round defender than Sarr if we're to progress next season. Completely agree, but would you trust the man this thread is revolving around to deliver an improvement ? I wouldn't

Sarr ? Surely we are aspiring to better than a centre half who gifts goals every other week On a free he’s been a decent signing and we’ve paid big money for far worse That we run on a League One transfer budget is separate matter IMO [b Therein lies the problem I guess, he is OK for a free. Maybe we should aim for better and spend 250 to 500k ?

You could put a video compilation and he looks either the best or worse defender in the world. He must have made double figures goal line clearances - some of them ridiculously good - and then double figure mistakes, some of them ridiculously bad People also forget he missed the whole preseason - without a club - so he didn’t have the same base fitness levels. He’s played every game in a condensed season when he’s been fit (or returning from injury) Throw in murderball training and he looks jaded and leggy right now and the end of season can’t arrive soon enough for him IMO I don’t mind him personally but it’s all about opinions I guess

For those 5 folks that have voted no. Can you shed any light of why you think he should stay? I don’t mean that in any sort of having a go way, I just genuinely can’t see that he offers anything positive- am I missing something?

I don't really know what make a good appointment in his role as it's not something I'm too familiar with, however you can tell from his interviews and stint as co-commentator that unfortunately Bromby doesn't seem to have much of an idea

Can only be people associated with the club and/or his pals, no other explanation.

Could Bromby (and PH for that matter) just be a stopgap appointment, signing players that keep us up whilst we clear our debts before a takeover armed with a monied owner and ambitious head of football ops come in....
Or has this whiskey gone to my head

Needs replacing, but lets be honest, what DoF worth his salt, would even consider getting involved with such a set up. None I suspect. I fear we have what we have, and nothing will change anytime soon.

Get someone with experience and contacts!
I just voted no.
Exhibit a) Steve McClaren.
Webber wanted to be DoF, Wagner vetoed it, none of us were complaining when he left were we?
We had our chance but missed out.
Now a trip to Cracking DoFs are Us is unlikely to bear fruit.

I've said before, but no time ago Bromby was going around Sheffield trying to get people to sign up as franchisees for his soccer schools. Next thing you know, he's landed the top job at Town. How the fuck did that happen? N.B. I never use the word soccer, but it seems to be that these things are always "soccer schools" Like dinner ladies. Most people now call the midday meal lunch I reckon. Never heard anyone call them lunch ladies.

Bromby is more of a drag on the club than either the chairman or the coach. Utterly out of his depth, much like with Siewert we'd be doing him a favour if we sacked him.

Can’t be easy attracting players when we never know what league we will be in until the last game of the season. Then the mad rush begins. He will get nothing in the way of money to work with either. That’s said I don’t know what his remit is either. Maybe just a puppet

I think I’m of the same mind set...he’s a big unit who offers an awful lot in defence....he’ll make mistakes and he’ll do incredible stuff, would have been interesting to see him perform a full season alongside Schindler.
