15 Sept 20 "Sorry, I thought 'Rubbish' covered it." Ha ha love it . If you preface an insult with the word "sorry" it turns Into an apology. Like your style fella 'Yet you’ve not said why my post was stupid or dishonest." 'Sorry, I thought 'Rubbish' covered it'. So, the apology I remembered off the top of my head, to someone I don't know, is of lesser quality than yours, to your mate. Sorry, I didn't realise we were going to score the value of different apologies.

Sounds like DW just wanted the fans to see the Hef’s winner from behind the goal it went in, not 100yds away. The guy was a visionary. But yeah, banner makers did as much as Wagner. Cheapest of cheap shots. Scoffa will be turning in his grave. Shame on you I really don't think that's your finest post ever on here Pete TBH. Massive (and unfair) over-reaction. No need to bring passed Town fans into a debate like this.

Anyway, that’s it from me. I enjoy a bit of banter but I won’t be a part of using names of revered fans as ammunition in petty arguments. Frankly, I’m fucking shocked that anyone would be as callous and downright stupid to think that’s acceptable. You’re a disgrace. A good mate of mine who would support my comments 100%. He was instrumental in promoting the NSL and it was you who defiled his and their efforts Did he fuck.. your post was a disgrace.

andyeastleake, Teddington Ted & positive plus + pompous, Have you finished with the bullying of Shortbreadpete, because it appears to me that you have stooped to new low in this thread. You may not be the only ones, that have sought to ridicule the reasonable question posed, but you are the ones having criticised his reference to efforts of deceased mate! It's time to allow people the option of being a supporter who supports at level that you may not relate to, whether that be as a happyclapper or a bedwetter, (and those two rediculing terms, plus any others, should be dropped).

I find it equally incredible and depressing that this debate, such as it is, continues. Surely people can agree to disagree and move on?

Bullying ? He brought his deceased mate into it, you are a joke pal, you and your mate were rounding on Bigdaddy the other day with post after post after post on this thread. Take a look in the mirror. We are back to the line of super supporters and true fans again are we ? Zzzzzzz. Look at yourself and your continuous disputes with many different people on here. You seem to have trouble accepting OPINIONS of other fans.

Time to close this thread .Some on here would argue with themselves in a empty room I agree, especially as I can't see the point of this. When things go wrong in a organisation it is unusual for it to be a single failure down to one person. Who suggested the names we signed and who approved the purchases I don't know, but I hope that the club do and have learned the lessons from what went on. I am sure that Wagner must share some of the blame but how much we will never know as we don't know how much input he had in to the decisions made and how for down the line he was involved. If he had not taken us up in the first place we could not have made such a complete mess of it since, should we blame him for the promotion? I have never met a saint or am I likely to. If I were to meet a saint it would not be working in a business especially a business with anything to do with football.

Some really poor posts on this thread. I’ve posted stupid things and regretted it but I’m big enough to know how to use the words ‘sorry’ and ‘I was wrong’. Sometimes you just need to be the bigger person. Now where is impact, I want to discuss his thoughts on Sterling starting the game yesterday.

Neither Wigan or Bradford went up to the Premier League when the chasm between the Championship and PL was so wide. In a minuscule amount of time, Wagner transformed this football club and there is no way that either Bradford or Wigan experienced such a togetherness between club and fans. In addition to this, as mentioned by Gary Neville on Sky, numerous times, we had the best atmosphere in our ground in the Premier League. There’s been hundreds of pages on this forum documenting our demise since these times and I find it very sad that some people choose to soil the achievements of a man who managed to give so much joy to Huddersfield Town supporters. And why was that? Do you think it was down to Wagner, or do you think it was down to the fans getting a foothold in the South Stand, and the effort that went in to generating that atmosphere around the ground. Do you know David Wagner asked the NSL to re-locate to the FM lower for the games against the teams that would bring large away followings in the season we were promoted to the Premier League? The NSL refused of course. Maybe that was the fine line between getting to the play offs or missing out? I'm not saying it was, but it would have definitely been a factor. Michael Hefele's 89th winner was fucking dream. Infront of 2000 Leeds fans instead of 4000..... at least the NSL would have been at the right end.

I think they could be in trouble, which is why Sam left, that and not much money. 2 weeks to pre season and they have 1 game set up Against Watford on July 24th. I know town still need at least 3 more players for a championship starting 11 especially if they plan to sell 2, but not having a scooby doo who your manager is going to be after blowing up 3 high profile ones in as many weeks smells like Blackburn. Please God town invest for the next 3 years championship income this year and that's it unless we are trading.

WBA will probably finish above us though They probably will unless we sign at least 1 more schindle level defender, a decent number 10 or centre mid type and possibly another striker. Ideally for the turnover we've had it would be more but we are pleading poverty so I'm not banking on a 2016 investment rollout.

Where does it say we are pleading poverty. What PH has said numerous times is that the club have to be sustainable (long and short term) which is something quite different.

It was pretty clear to some of us that WBA were in serious trouble when they persuaded Potless to agree to paying for Grant over an unprecedented period of 6 years.
It's pretty clear to me that it's "highly unlikely" that we'll ever receive 100% of the fee agreed for Grant from WBA. Perhaps only 2/6.

The WBA Technical Director resigned when the owner/chairman vetoed his preferred candidate Chris Wilder. It now seems that they are after the Barnsley manager, who apparently has a £1m+ compensation clause in his contract. We will get all the money from WBA for Grant (or get players of equal value), otherwise they will lose their EFL 'Share' as it's a football debt.

I always think it’s strange how a team would spend £15m on Karlan Grant but not appoint their target manager because of the £1m compensation it might cost them. It’s the same at many clubs. What is £5-10m in compo to land a top managed when they’ll happily blow that on a ‘punt’ for a player who may never get near the first team.
