Christian Walton Brighton Keeper,6'5" out of contract June 30th. Rated £720k on transfer market. England under 19,20,21's 25 years old is rumoured to be one of the 4 new signings that are already done ! ?

Highly rated at Wigan then!!! Still played most games for Blackburn last season too 🤷
Didn't have much chance with Mounie's wonder strike either!

Great - Blackburn fans seem to rate him about as much as the Hearts fans did Pereira Just been on their forum oh dear if this is the level we are recruiting. Great quote about their current keeper. The chap has a huge advantage in following Walton, on whom a traffic cone would have been an upgrade. |

I can't deal with another flappy hand keeper tbh. If Blackburn are saying a cone is an improvement I'm not exactly enthused.

My pick would be someone like John Ruddy who as I understand it from a basic internet search is out of contract in the summer and was on less than £10k pw at Wolves.
Schofield clearly has some talent but is not ready yet to be number one, and could do with an experienced keeper to learn his trade from. Especially one who can dominate his area.
At 6'4" Ruddy is a solid unit who has vast experience at both this level and above. Having fallen behind Patricio at Wolves since their promotion and not played much maybe we could offer him a new challenge whilst he helps to develop Schofield but at 34 years old does not block his pathway back to the first-team for too long.
He's perhaps too good with his hands and not good enough with his feet for our list though.
