Fair enough. No need to get your knickers in a twist 🤣🤣🤣. The winky emoji might've been a give away that I was being facetious. I'll be watching, just won't go out of my way to have to watch England unless Chilwell and Coady are laiking Knickers not in any sort of serious twist. I just find boring, the cliched anti-England posts that always seem to pop up in threads about England. Our team. And which part of my original post was anti-England ? This thread isn't about England either.

Some are not balloted at all. Budapest is 100% capacity for example. Later games in London will be full house as it stands....post June 21st. That may be true but at least two of the group games at Wembley will be balloted as capacity is only 25%. The last communication we had from UEFA was regarding the option to return tickets and saying that we would get an email during May to sat whether we still have our tickets or whether they had been cancelled, but nothing so far. Correct, those through Englandfans had theirs cancelled and they had a new ballot....we went from 15 tickets to one....how is that 25%? Stolen for the creme de la creme...the football family.

I'd love to get as excited as I did for tournaments as I did about 15 years ago but I just don't. I'll no doubt watch games but not necessarily because England are playing and I can't imagine I'll be going to pubs to watch games shouting Engerrrlannd at a TV screen. Not sure if it's age or what just can't get excited. International football just doesn't seem to have the same pull anymore. I'd genuinely rather watch Town in a league match than England in a tournament. Potentially a good exciting team/squad though but it's more than likely we won't play to our strengths and will get through against some very mediocre opposition and fall the first time we play someone decent like the last world cup. I disagree because This time, more than any other time, this time We're gonna find a way Find a way to get away This time, getting it all together To win the cup 😂

I think Southgate's squad will be:
Gk Pickford, Henderson, Pope
DF Trippier, Walker, Alexander-Arnold, James, Coady, Mings, Maguire, Stones, Dunk, Tarkowski, Dier, Shaw, Chilwell, Saka
MF Henderson, Rice, Phillips, Winks, Davies, Noble, Milner, Mount
ATT Kane

It's been such a weird year that I keep forgetting it's happening.
I haven't watched England for a couple of years - completely lost interest. But that's more to do with the qualification process than anything; I know it's necessary, I don't begrudge "the minnows" taking part - there's just no jeopardy. But although I go into this tournament the least interested I've ever been, I know I'll have started to really get into it after the first group game, especially as crowds start to return - what a difference a handful of supporters made to the FA Cup final, after a year of empty stadiums.
Having lived in Scotland, games against them are always HUGE for me. I'm even pleased they've finally qualified for a major tournament after all these years - as long as long as they get knocked out at the group stage and we hammer them.
I think we'll do okay, get knocked out by the second decent team we meet; so semis at best. Can't really look past France to win it; but after such a weird season, who knows - maybe we'll get another Denmark or Greece.

I love watching England's games in the big competitions. I'll be down at the Warehouse with the youth. Ever optimistic, ever deluded.

No doubt we’ll have that overrated beeston bellend at defensive midfield because the press have bigged him up so much . Absolutely bang average player and usually at fault for the goals they concede.
Only silver lining is Southgate hasn’t listened to press and included any other knuckle dragging cheats like Bamford or Ayling.
He’s nailed his colours to the mast too early with the team. How Aaron Wann Bissaka and Trent Alexander Arnold don’t get in is beyond me

It's mad to think that in the last tournament, England got to the World Cup semi-final. Yet, it's largely been forgotten about already. People still remember Italia 90 and Euro 96 a lot more fondly or is that an age thing?
I think England are good going forward, although I don't have much faith in the manager to go for that much of an attacking option. The defence is woeful. May get through the opening round, but not too much further.

Probably because you weren't in the top 70% of Caps to qualify for the tickets you wanted or the next 20% that included those that had been to two away qualifying games so that left you in the last 10% where you were fighting it out with 9300 for just 300 tickets.

Not too long now. Who should make Southgate’s final squad? Who will win? Who are the dark horses? Who has got tickets? Where are you watching? Can you still fit in your Italia ‘90 shirt? I will see quite a few games....got plenty tickets despite the FA and UEFA cancelling half of them. Cant name Englands team...i have barely watched football for a year. Is that Everton goalie still around with the ears, potato-headed Maguire, Sterling, Kane? Thats my lot....oh Dyer (Dire)....and the lad from Man City.... the fullback. Probably 3 more called Kieron (he was a Dyer as well). Thats how uninterested in England i am these days. The winner will come from the 4 or 5 favs...France, Belgium, Germany....the dark horses are Denmark...Sweden and Poland have gone right off the boil. The only shirt i have had was the Admiral 82 red one....worth 250 quid now, stupidly gave it to a Swedish lad about 20 years ago. I think the difference (hopefully!) with the England team now is there isn't really the star players who carry the team. Its truly a team effort where, if most of them have a half-decent game, we should do alright. Thats a better place than historically where we relied on Beckham / Gazza / whoever to go out there and make the difference - and just hoped that Carlton Palmer, Danny Mills, David James etc wouldn't mess up too much. The England team is a Town 2016/17 team. If you were trying to build a promotion XI, there's not many of them that you'd pick...but...if you had the whole lot of them AND the manager, then you know they'd make a half decent fist of it. This compares to the rest of Europe who still seem to be relying on individuals who were carrying them 6 or 7 years ago. Although - a caveat is I do write the above having not seen more than 10 minutes of International football in the last couple of years!

Perhaps because we only played ‘the Royal Oak’ and the ‘lepton highlanders’ on our way to the semis and then lost to an half decent Croatia I very rarely get excited about tournament football. Normally very poor standard with England being overwhelmed by somebody after the British press have built us up as joint favourites when in reality were quarter final material only I hope he gives youth a chance, but doubt he will

Something to watch during the Summer but can't say I'm particularly excited about watching a Southgate team play. It'll kill abit of time before the real football season starts though.

England will lose the first time they play anyone of note. World class level, team effort barely comes in to it....you need a sprinkling of top stars to win anything.

3 of our group are top cappers. However you look at it, its a shambles. If the 3 are top cappers then they are guaranteed tickets unless they returned them to UEFA for a refund. Not sure what else you think UEFA or the FA could do. They've had to reduce the capacity from 90,000 to 22,500. Everybody has seen a reduction in tickets from the qualifying countries, the general sale and corporate and sponsors tickets

Everybody has seen a reduction in tickets from the qualifying countries, the general sale and corporate and sponsors tickets Give pro-rata to the people already successful would have been the way. We booked as two-groups of three. We initially held 15 tickets...we now have 1. Who will go alone? You have a point but why is it 25% when one week later its likely 100%...does the non-existent Covid know anything. All studies show outdoor transmission is near impossible anyway. Also, after holding my £5000 for over two years (and now cancelling my tickets) how about a goodwill gesture of making the one ticket free at least? The money is in TV. Anyway, i have final tickets and that'll do for me.

If you bought your tickets over two years ago I suspect you bought them through UEFA as the ESTC sale wasn't until Jan 2020
Booking as a group held no sway over the recent resale to ESTC as the ballot was conducted on a individual basis, if your mates are top cappers and they bought through ESTC then they should have the tickets they requested. If they haven't then I suggest they get on to them asap.
Funny you say who would go alone, plenty won't but loads are waiting to buy those tickets judging by the comments on the ESTC Facebook page.
Agreed the money is in TV and sponsorship, they could give all the tickets away and still make a massive profit but more chance of hell freezing over than UEFA giving anything away. Christ they even charge you for the glass you drink the sponsors beer out of these days. Every penny is a prisoner to UEFA

So that wouldn't be underperforming, other than underperforming against nonsense FIFA rankings.

To be honest mate, I couldn’t care less. I just want to sit with some mates of an evening with a reason to be in a pub.
I’ve no expectations, just hope we give it a go and don’t go out playing some over-defensive nonsense.

On paper it shows England have the most valued squad. Probably due to over inflation of our own. They're about the 4th best squad tbh
