Felt for him initially in Prem and felt he needed a confidence boost which just never came .
Was largely ineffectual for 3 years despite being easily good enough on his day . Hasn’t worked out and sure he will crack on with a new club .

Hasn’t worked out and sure he will crack on with a new club . For balance, I thought he looked a decent technical player when he first came to us. Busy and always involved. The trouble is, he always flattered to deceive and even when playing okay, he didn't affect the game anywhere near enough. A problem for an attacking midfielder. His early promise soon faded though and his ineffectiveness became a running joke. At the he time we signed him he looked a good recruit. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, things haven't worked out and he - along with Diakhaby and Mbenza - has become one of the poster boys for our poor recruitment in the Premier League. |

Most players of Pritchard’s physical stature in the premier league are actually quite strong. Pritchard was pathetically weak, and it was evident, particularly when 9 out of 10 of his shots from outside the area couldn’t actually be lifted off of the ground and pea rolled to the keeper.
He can no longer play in the top 2 tiers of English football.

Alex Pritchard reminds me of Mark Barham, you know there's a good player in there but just seemed permanently crocked. We probably never saw the best of him bit he's probably relieved it's all over and he can kick-start his career elsewhere.

Meh. Who cares what Dean "Not my fault, guv" Hoyle has to say about an expensive flop signed on his watch? Both Pritchard and arsehoyle would be better off saying nothing. Pritchard was poor for 99% of his time here and didn’t play like a £11m player on £60/30k a week. As for Dean.... the shambles which we have seen for the last 3 seasons is as a direct result of your chairmanship in that period rather than coming out and firing at former players, why not put your hands up and take some responsibility to some of those poor decisions? |

Someone will snap Pritchard up and he will turn out a good player again No he won't. We did overpay (not his fault but it is correct). He was injury prone. He's also had other spells in his career when he hasn't played. He didn't play at all in the 15/16 season and only started 24 games in a year and a half at Norwich after that so when he signed for us he'd started 24 league games in over 2 and a half years. Don't let facts get in the way of a good story though Alex. |

Let's face it... Pritchard was wank. The only person he can blame is Alex Pritchard. As PH said, these players wanted to play in the PL (and earn big wages), they didn't really want to play for Huddersfield Town.

I am Pritchard's least biggest fan. He boils my piss.
But.......
