Most of the of the threads on here are boring. Watching town has been boring for the last few seasons.

Marcus Stewart - signed from the league below where we were Aaron Mooy - last first team game before joining us was in the Aussie league Josh Koroma - from non-league Karlan Grant - signed from 2 divisions below us Jonas Lossl - came to us needing to rebuild his career after a poor spell in Germany... The point is....? Signing players from the lower leagues will never always work. Marcus Stewart cost decent money. The sort of decent money we no longer have. So the point of the original post is to say we have no money. As someone said before this repetition is very very boring.

What a stupid fucking thread.
For a start we've never lost 3-0 to Yeovil, the game numpty Dunc is referring to finished 3-1.
We've gone on to beat Yeovil 9 times since then, played two seasons in the premier league, currently play in the Championship whilst they're playing non league.
Can't we have some kind of IQ test before the resident idiots start posting pointless threads?

This forum has become dull, and also aggressive in some peoples responses. Leave you all to you childish responses (which is why new threads get started as no-one can be bothered to trawl through loads of childish bickering) and not bother with DATM anymore.

If you think being called a numpty & an idiot is offensive then maybe the Internet isn't for you. Cookies, milk & a bedtime story might be more up your street.

If it did, everyone would use it! Marcus Stewart cost decent money, but Koroma came here for a song, as (compared to PL income) did Karlan Grant. Some bloke who looked good in the Aussie league but couldn't hack it at St Mirren ended up being one of the best footballers we've had here in half a century. Jamie Vardy, Charlie Austin, Troy Deeney, Chris Smalling, Michael Antonio, Yannick Bolasie, Joe Hart, Jarrod Bowen, Solly March, & Nick Pope among others have all been on the books at non-league clubs. Not just lower division - non-league. Any of those you wouldn't want in their pomp? Pritchard, Diakhaby, Kongolo cost a bit though, so they were obviously great signings. Pereira came from Man Utd, so he was obviously brilliant.... etc.

Oh look, another pointless thread making the exact same point as the other 50 threads on the same topic in the past month. Next. You miss the point. Never mind. What exactly is the point? We should spend money we don't have & follow the example set by Bolton? We should only buy players who are proven at a higher level? What is it?

What is the point of such a useless comparison, the wrong score for a match 14 years ago against a team that finished above us that season and then never again. And looking at the lineups here (http://www.ytfc.digital/results/2006-07/550) the only players we played that night that were new signings for that season was Glennon (had previously played L2 but signed from Scotland, and was a better keeper than Rachubka) and Beckett (signed from Sheffield United in the championship).
I understand the point you're trying to make regarding current signings but it's not an original enough observation to warrant its own thread. And the subject matter isn't going to generate any more original ones. That's why you're getting the reactions you are, because it's a pointless thread clogging up the top page of the board
