Hes a bang average league one player. Sad state of affairs how happy people are with this type of signing. Crikey, I wasn’t aware you watched Oxford every week last season?

We got promoted through the play-offs all the way from 4th tier to premier league without scoring a single goal in any of the finals. Not sure if that feat will ever be repeated We beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at Wembley!! I was there... We did, but we also got out of the third division without scoring a goal in actual play v Sheffield Utd

Huddersfield is not a small Town far from it but for some reason some people think we are. Huddersfield is similar in size to Brighton, Wolverhampton you don't hear their fans with this Small Town Identity and we certainly have not punched above our weight, we are not Bradford or Wigan. Isn’t Huddersfield the biggest town in the country in terms of population? There are 10 towns larger in population including Reading, Swindon and Northampton. Can’t remember the other 7.

We then went up through all 4 divisions in sequence without scoring a single goal in any final

All 4 signings, for me, are improvements on the ones we let go.

We needed back up for both full backs and have gone down the reliable and experienced route for them. I think thats good myself. Jaden Brown was the young player with potential we had as back up and when push came to shove the manager couldn't trust him to do a job.
Thats 5 signings.. all will improve the squad I reckon and 2 or 3 of them will improve the first XI.

Previously some have been content to wander around the pitch aimlessly ( any similarity with Bacuna is totally coincidental ) knowing full well that whatever happens, they will be playing in the next game.

It's the fact people are moaning we signing players from league 1, would moan even more if we dint sign anyone. Not everyone playing below the championship is rubbish Exactly, some of our signings from League One and below when we’ve been at Premier League/Championship level have been pretty good including: Marcus Stewart from (then) Second Division Nahki Wells from League One Bradford Karlan Grant from League One Charlton Harry Toffolo from League One Lincoln Josh Koroma from National League Leyton Orient That’s excluding those like Pilks we bought at League One level who were class and went on to much higher levels. The risk is that the above are the exceptions and filling a Championship squad with League One players who are all on frees could be seen as gambling that all can step up and follow in the footsteps of the likes of the above.

Bolton is certainly bigger than Huddersfield population wise. I suspect Ipswich maybe too, add Luton to that. Edit: MK is a Town.

Thank god we've finally got some solid cover for Pipa & Toff I find it baffling how people aren't getting this. A huge part of our promotion was down to having a deep squad where all the 2nd string were decent players. In fact we all moaned this year that our squad was too thin. We're getting rid of those not good enough and bringing in players who are capable of playing in the championship week in week out, even if they won't be starters.

Edit: MK is a Town. According to the Telegraph in 2011 the top 10 biggest towns were as follows. Huddersfield was 11th. 1. Reading 2. Dudley 3. Northampton 4. Luton 5. Milton Keynes 6. Walsall 7. Basildon 8. Bournemouth 9. Southend 10. Swindon In 2011 Bolton were behind us in 15th. Ipswich were 17th. Of course, this might have changed.

Yet another signing where people are complaining about us signing experienced L1 players. What do these people want us to sign cast off, out of contract, PL and Championship players. I am sure we could get plenty of "out of contracts" players for probably 3 times the salaries these guys will be on.

We're getting rid of those not good enough and bringing in players who are capable of playing in the championship week in week out, even if they won't be starters. Once the injuries started to bite last season you could see how light we were in squad depth. Toffolo missing long term & Pipa having to play a good chunk of games with a groin injury. Brown & Duhaney were clearly not up to it which has now been sorted. I'm happy with the business so far but still work to be done.
