It's got nothing to do with the FA.
The UK government set the rules on the capacity of the Stadium and UEFA sold the tickets.
You're in the same boat as most ordinary punters(not UEFA/sponsors) who purchased tickets for the final, they've all been refunded. They will all be hoping to be offered a ticket for the final when they go on sale again but the simple fact is with 65k seats for the final not everybody can be offered a ticket

You paid X in Euros and have been refunded X in Euros….it’s your bank and the decline in pound that have made the problem,, not UEFA or the FA. Maybe next time domt buy hospitality tickets if you can’t afford to take the hit of currency conversions…round of 16 game is only €50 behind the goal, which seems like good value to me.

If you have enough money you can be in the team. As long as you havent kissed Billy Gilmour, recently.
You would have to outbid Kyle Walker though, he must be paying a lot to be in?

I think after buying tickets from UEFA for 35 years i know a bit more about it than you. I accept this tournament they have been fairer with the refund money but in the past when they refunded you lost UEFA fees and they diddled you on the exchange rate. Often you lost 10%....happened several times to me. They have had my pants down not for hundreds but thousands down the years. I did not buy hospitality tickets, i bought UEFA general sale. Also, why would they steal the £15 souvenir ticket money? Why do they sell 2.5 years in advance and keep your money whilst you get zero interest? Why do they sell ANY tickets before the draw if its about fans? Why are tickets with meals 6 grand but if i sell on i am a tout? How many 50 euro tickets are there....a dozen? They halved the price of all the Budapest games...they hate empty stadiums...bad for advertising...thats why the cameramen dont show the stands. No pal, its a thieving monopoly.

Spot on. All about corporate palm-greasing, multi-national hospitality and revenue generating. The whole set-up stinks and it’s the fans who pay the price. The whole thing is a jamboree. It must be infuriating for supporters who were there when the corporate world couldn’t give a dam about football. They have been sidelined by the governing bodies who were happy to sell the soul of the game to the highest bidder. I can’t imagine the anger felt by the OP given his circumstances at this time. It’s an absolute disgrace.

For someone who knows a lot about it, you seem to have some misguided thoughts! I'd be interested to know what your interpretation of being diddled on the exchange rate is. How much did you pay, in Euro's, and how much in Euro's have you been refunded? Its a VISA set rule, that refunds HAVE to be issued back in the same currency they were taken. You can't expect UEFA to go..."oh, the pound has strengthened, so someone who paid for a €50 ticket we'd better refund them €55 so they're not out of pocket"! You're now posting links to hospitality tickets and moaning about the cost of something you aren't buying? Why do they sell tickets and keep the money? Same as anyone else...why do Huddersfield Town take your money the instant you buy a ticket for a future event? (although, I have entry to a mass (approx 40,000 attendees) event which had hundreds of thousands of entries into a ballot system which opened 1 year prior to the date...they didn't ask for actual payment until 4months ahead of the actual scheduled date (which then had to be postponed as it was early April last year) - no idea why they can't do that and take your payment a few months ahead of the games, if they have enough funds to pay for all the already sunk costs in running a tournament...I guess the risk then is a big percentage of people don't pay and they end up having to opening up more sales). The €15 (not £ !) souvenir tickets are being refunded...you need to chase them up if it hasn't happened for you - englandsupporters.thefa.com/fan-forums/tickets_and_travel/f/24/t/15926

This disappointment could have been pointed out to the respective football bodies by the OP, but then he would be a minion amongst others. Far better to try and add to his self aggrandisement by mentioning it to people who had no intention of going. I thought that the links which I sent to him about Napoleon and Superiority Complexes would help him with his problems, but apparently not. Shame.

I said i accept that the ticket refund cost was the same as i paid. Can you please accept this has NOT been the case for all the previous tournaments where UEFA refunded you directly after stealing up to 10%? Thanks to VISA not UEFA. 2. I linked to hospitality as i WAS considering buying for the Germany match....not at 2,800 euros i wont be though....scandalous. 3 tickets 17,200 euros...you think thats acceptable? 3. Big difference between a heavily discounted season ticket saving you 50% and allowing Town to budget and thieving UEFA who only make 10% of their profits from ticket sales. They took my money THREE years ago....£12,000. They also sell for matches where you have no idea who is playing.....show me another example of that please. This prevents the fans of the teams getting them. Thats why England got 2,300 for the World Cup semi in Italy, they were sold 2 years before to anyone with cash. 4. I got an email from UEFA saying the souvenir money will NOT be refunded. 5. Are you aware UEFA have the highest ration of turnover to employee in Europe? Any idea why they are based outside European jurisdiction and tax laws?

^I think the hospitality price is acceptable if thats what people are prepared to pay for it. I aren't (but I wouldn't pay £50 for an international football match anyway!), and you aren't - what's the problem??
You *gave* the money, they didn't *take* it. Obviously there's been an unavoidable extra year delay, but nobody forces you to buy tickets if you disagree with some of the principles.
Selling for 'unknown's' is *very* common, in EVERY sport that involves knockout competition with pre-sales - anyone fancy a £125 ticket for Day 8 Number 1 court at Wimbledon - don't know whose playing. Up to £70 for a (non-hospitality) ticket to the Rugby World Cup match at the John Smiths Stadium in November. Whose playing?? Nobody knows.

Any reason why you couldn't put this in your 1st thread complaining about Euro tickets, other than to create another "look at me" thread?

45,000 tickets for the Germany game...Englandfans get 7500. Germany get the same....i reckon they might come back on sale. General public get 22,500...is that equitable?

Anyway, you can all do one...just got 4 x Cat 1 for the Germany game Excellent news…have a good one. The one and only England game I’ve ever watched was England v Germany, back in ‘96. £400 ticket, with pre match dinner with Alan Smith at our table. Went to work in the morning having planned a few mates coming round to watch on TV, got gifted the tickets from Italian customer at the time (think it had maybe been Italy’s potential expected route)…involved a good 30mins of explaining to the other half she had to ring round my pals if she didn’t want them turning up…most of them didn’t have mobiles at the time so I couldn’t really get hold of them during the day. Found the whole experience utterly uninspiring….atmosphere was nothing like it was pumped up to be with the whole footballs coming home thing…and for me was not a patch on Town v Bristol where I’d sat about 20 metres away and paid £15. Glad I witnessed the event though. Only other international football I’ve watched is Spain v Bulgaria which was alright…but I wouldn’t pay £30 for it! (I have however, played for Argentina 😉).

Off on Tuesday the whole covid testing thing is a bit daft.
I'm on a trial and double vaccinated but the vaccine hasn't been approved, so I'm not officially vaccinated. I have six PCR tests at home which I can use to test myself. Although they only accept the results from an LFT test, which are useless, so I can't use them. So I've had to get one of the LFTs to test. When it passes on Monday, I'm off to the Supermarket in Thornbury, out for a few beers in Headingley, followed by a curry.

A low-level end of season (or pre-season I suppose - it was summer) amateur tournament in the little stadium at Varna on the Black Sea coast, the representative Argentine team were a bit short of numbers!!

Good story. I once sat on the Thailand bench at the Asian final v Indonesia in Manila. The sub gave me his shirt but they did not sub me on I played for Chiang Mai Uni...they saw me on the touchline and gave me a kit. We won 2-0 and i scored. When the goalie kicked from his hands and i directly headed back up field the whole she-bang stopped the game to applaud me! Played at Wembley in front of 65,000 for Huddersfield Supporters club....we won, full kit, up the steps for the trophy, lap of honour and then Town come out and beat Bristol Rovers....amazing day. Got more if i get time

Well, well, well. 8,000 tickets back on sale for Englandfans members today....and guess what....5,500 of them are the cheap £85 "fans first" tickets. What this means is that UEFA and the FA colluded to sell all the £300 and £500 tickets based on the crowd reductions originally at Wembley and CANCELLED all the cheapies they had sold three years back just in case.....scumbags. Did not even ballot or pro-rata it. No, sod the fans...lets sell them the £500 ones.
