And Mahoney has played 90 championship games in four years which puts him streets ahead of all the others -I just don’t get signing him and not playing him ahead of Koroma -It seems so strange this obsession with bedding in new players -Kompany did not get any bedding in time and didn’t use a bloody I pad for subs -did you see Rudoni sub delayed because DS kept on his I pad with instructions so we missed a couple of minutes of pitch time -you couldn’t make it up Just on Mahoney he’s played an average of 6 games a season over the last 8 years since his debut. 54 x 90 mins in 8 years. |

Lots of Koroma chat on the Danny Grant thread. Koroma's performance last week should see him out of the side for a couple of months as far as I'm concerned. Give Grant or Mahoney a go, can't be any worse. If mahoney can't get in the team or on the bench ahead of koroma then he shouldn't have been signed. |

He had a tough time with injuries and Covid but hopefully he has come out of it a stronger player and person. We will think about Birmingham first and then think about the starting lineup for the Preston game.”

My interpretation of that is that he'll think about how to defeat Birmingham first, but then look at how to integrate Grant into the squad, with a view to him possibly making his debut vs Preston in the League Cup. |

Criminal he wasn’t given any minutes tonight in what was ultimately over at half time - more minutes given to the boys who haven’t impressed in the first two games, I can’t fathom for the life of me why he’s not been given a go.

He must be wondering what he has to do to get a chance, if Danny didn't think he was worth a go in a lost game at half time, what chance is he going to get any time soon? I hope for the lad's career he gets a loan move, he needs to be playing football at a decent level - he'd have been better staying in Ireland than playing for our B team.

Quite possibly but then why did Spencer, Boyle, Russell, Koroma, Mahoney and Holmes play last night? Because if Grant is currently behind all of those in terms of ability/current form then someone needs to tell us so we can stop getting excited about him. |
