I hadn't noticed but Dave Challinor resigned as manager of Hartlepool at the start of the month. Good to see that the caretaker boss still selected Daly & that he rewarded him with a couple of assists, but I hope whoever comes in will continue to develop him. Yeah, resigned so he could drop back into the conference to manage Stockport

Andy Woodman, manager of Bromley in the NL, is rumoured to be Hartlepool’s preferred choice, although Bromley are fighting it.

Crichlow will probably be marking Phillips today in the FA Cup provided they both play. Chapman was in goal for Gateshead last night as they lost 2-0 to Charlton- was caught in 2 minds a bit for their first goal but not much he could do about the 2nd.
I wonder if we'll be seeing any recalls or new clubs for current loanees in January. I'd be looking to send players like Austerfield, Harratt, Elliott, maybe even Aarons and Schofield out.

That’s quite an old article. He seems to have been on the periphery recently, wonder if we’d tell him to stick at it or send him somewhere he’ll be playing striker and more regularly.

Hadn't realised how old it was TBH. Depends what other offers are on the table, and how the club see him. Is his game developing there, or would it be better served elsewhere? Perhaps what he learns from playing out wide makes him a better striker. Perhaps not. Instinctively I agree with you. We're likely to be in more need of a centre forward than we are of a wide forward when he comes back and I'd like to see him playing more centrally so he can learn more about men's football in th CF position. Alternatively, maybe we look from a position of duty of care (& related help with recruitment) - that he isn't likely to make it here, but we're a club that looks after its players & we're standing him in ood stead for a career elsewhere.

Swindon play Man City tonight on ITV. Hopefully Crichlow gets a start for Swindon.
With Crichlow being a left sided centre half, he's probably the loan player with the clearest pathway to our first team given Colwill will be back at Chelsea next season. Sounds like this loan at Swindon has gone well but with him being 22 now you feel it will be next season or never with Town. Personally I hope him and REG get a proper chance providing the rest of their loans go well.

I can see him going on loan to one of the promoted teams from the championship next year or a loan to a German side to further his development

Maybe a long term Hogg replacement? one of his previous loans, I think it was Bromley possibly, they signed him as a centre back but played him as a DM throughout his spell. It would definitely be worth a try because his best position is on the right of a three and Pearson has that position down for the foreseeable.

City trying to cry off due to covid cases despite them having I think 70-80 registered players. I think with Crichlow he's worth keeping longer, he was converted to a centre back quite late on I think but has taken to it very well

Can Austerfield & Diarra play for Harrogate in FA Cup this weekend? Yep there's no reason why not as they haven't played for anyone else in the cup this season.

Crichlow's been recalled from Swindon. Wonder if we're wanting to give him a shot in the first team or we've got a league one loan lined up for him? 🤔
