Crichlow's been recalled from Swindon. Wonder if we're wanting to give him a shot in the first team or we've got a league one loan lined up for him? š¤ hope it's not a sign of Colwill being more injured then it initially seemed. Any other scenario is good- either he's stepping up a level or Carlos is bringing him back for cover. I bang on about it but Sarr is much better in the centre of a back 3 than on the left, Crichlow would probably be much better suited to Colwill's role.

He might have overtaken Sarr in the pecking order (& even then I'm not confident) but I can't see him ousting Colwill. Our 4th best CB at best. Seems little point bringing him back if he's just going to be competing with Sarr for a place on the bench.

Fingers crossed for a League One loan and not that either Pearson, Lees or Colwil are injured.

He's not played many minutes over the last month or so, maybe the club think he'll be better off elsewhere? It's surprising because he was getting rave reviews down there not too long ago.
Hope it isn't anything to do with Colwill, either injured or getting recalled by Chelsea.

Still, I was surprised to see him only on the bench for the Man City game.

I'm glad he's had a good half season on loan, nice confidence builder after making his breakthrough with us last season. If they get promoted I'm sure he'll have a medal coming his way aswell. Think REG has a promotion medal from his time at Swindon too?

Swindon's next game is vs Port Vale.
Would have been interesting to see Crichlow vs Harratt. For all that up until last week I would have been rooting for Swindon in that game, now I'm hoping Harratt smashes them. #FickleFootballFan #SwitchingAllegiance

Good move for Crichlow. Heāll be 23 come the start of next season so he really needs to establish himself in first team squad at that age
Stepping up to the championship from league one will be less of a gap so it gives the lad the best chance to make it at town later in the year

As I said in another thread, in another room, in an another universe (I can't keep up), this is a really good step-up and challenge for RCN - I always thought L2 was too low, but he's gotten game time in a promotion chasing team, proven his worth and stood out. Clever from the club.
Using twitter as a barometer, Swindon fans are gutted.

Really good loan to a team challenging for promotion. Well pleased for him.

Some great loan moves by the club in the first half of the season and this is another one. Hopefully he can get himself into the starting 11 and get lots of minutes. He's played over 1,600 minutes for Swindon. If he could get another 1,000+ for Plymouth, he'd be pushing 3,000 minutes for the season. 33 matches. Which would be great experience for the lad.
There's been comments about him being 22, 23 next season and needing to break into the first team. Pearson, Sarr & Ruffles are 28, Toffolo is 26 and Tom Lees is 31....Crichlow has plenty of time on his side. He on came into professional football as an 18 year old having previously never played at an Academy. As a consequence he probably going to be a little bit of a late developer. I think the club will 'invest' time in him

Good to see a good chunk of the loans going to teams who are chasing play-off/promotion positions.

How do these loans work?
Do we go out looking for a team in a higher division, to send him for the second half of the season,or would Plymouth contact us to take him on loan knowing he's already on loan else where

It's his job to make sure the loans are going well and whether they're at the right level etc, so assume he's seen Crichlow wasn't playing all the time, then found a better loan for him...

Would hope weāre trying to get Phillips another loan. Walsall havenāt been playing him for the last month or so, few sub appearances here and there, and heās been stuck out on the wing all season.

Some players are late developers - itās about potential rather than age. Crichlow got man of the match in his only game for the first team, heās clearly got a good chance of making it!

His sub appearance last week against Manchester City means heās cup tied for the Chelsea game . Still he can take solace in knowing he may debut against another massive team tomorrow š

Good timing with Colwill returning to Chelsea in the summer and Sarrās contract up. Letās hope he does well at Plymouth and gets in our first team next season.
Great to see loans working so well.

Matty Daly recalled from Hartlepool. New loan in a higher league or back at town as cover due to Sinani injury i wonder...
Edit to add, Hartlepool manager has been informed we've recalled him to cover injuries:
Graeme Lee has added:
"Huddersfield recalled him due to a injuries in their first team. They wanted him back. Itās disappointing for us. Heās a fantastic player, we know he would have had a huge impact on the end of this season. A great lad with a great attitude and we wish him all the best. "
Everyone at the Club would like to thank Matty for his hardwork and efforts and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

better not be , defo ain't championship level yet How do you know? Maybe half a season with the monkey hangers has given him the leg up he needed. For certain Hogg, High and O'Brien is not the answer to Sinani's absence.
