The accuracy of his crosses reminds me a lot of on-form Pilks and Gary Roberts.
Brilliant signing

He was nearly signed by us if memory serves in the wagner era Yeah, in the first PL pre season then we got Dmitri Cavare on trial instead. He then replaced Yiadom at Barnsley

Best wing display since VLP tore Brighton apart. Thomas has probably already got more assists than Van La Parra ever got for Town. EDIT: whoscored.com says he has.

Wales have had a few players pull out this time, wonder if Rob Page is closer to calling him up, even just to have around the squad?

On course to be the best player I’ve ever seen play for Town (after Mooy)

I'm surprised the Examiner didn't knock it down to a 9 for the silly jet funny yellow card he picked up in the first half.

Think you missed the point of the post or maybe you didn’t watch the Brighton game mentioned. I did see the Brighton game. He absolutely butchered Bruno, who should have been off early on (first 15 minutes maybe?) - he couldn't live with him and committed 2 yellow card fouls, but only got booked for the first of these for some reason. The (separate) point I was making was that Thomas has the flair that we saw with Van La Parra but there's lots of end product to what he does. It was just a thought I had when I saw the Van La Parra comparison is all.

So much promise & he works hard too. Does need to cut out the back chat & the diving but he can go as far in the game as he wants to. His set play delivery is outstanding & he has terrific pace. I hope he keeps his feet on the ground (I have know idea about his character), keeps learning & also that he realises a couple of seasons with us will help him develop to his maximum potential, as I wouldn't be surprised if bids had already come in this window. There's an interesting piece/ interview of him in today's match program talking about the past and his family. You can read it here: www.htafc.com/news/2021/august/programmes--team-sheets/

To think I was ready to write him off as another poor signing towards the end of last season, how wrong I was. He looks the real deal and ooze's confidence! His deliveries from FK's & corners is something we have missed for a long time.

Wouldn't say id written him off but I thought he looked a player who was a bit out of his depth at this level. A tryer but lacking the quality needed. To say he's improved somewhat from then is a huge understatement! Full credit to him and the coaches. Just goes to show, the players are out there without the need to spend stupid money if you know where to look and are willing to take a punt on them, so a lot of credit has to go to our much maligned player recruitment team too for finding a gem.

Jesus - why this criticism? Maybe he won’t have a fade in form Maybe he’ll still be good even though teams are on the alert against him. Guess what… Maybe he’ll soon be a full Welsh International and maybe he’ll terrorise defences all season and drive us to the top of the league. With that pace and quality of delivery the club have unearthed a star in the making. Some are never happy. He is likely to have a dip, he is likely to bounce against the rules, but He will continue to improve and has all the potential to do better than wales!

I think I rated him more highly than most. I was cautiously optimistic after seeing some of the stuff he did in his cameos. I'd love to take credit for my ability to spot star potential but the truth is that "cautious" was the watchword & even then it was optimism that he might be a decent enough squad player. Never occurred to me that he'd be tearing it up like this.
