You certainly wouldn't be alone in that. Wouldn't say id written him off but I thought he looked a player who was a bit out of his depth at this level. A tryer but lacking the quality needed. To say he's improved somewhat from then is a huge understatement! Full credit to him and the coaches. Just goes to show, the players are out there without the need to spend stupid money if you know where to look and are willing to take a punt on them, so a lot of credit has to go to our much maligned player recruitment team too for finding a gem. I think I rated him more highly than most. I was cautiously optimistic after seeing some of the stuff he did in his cameos. I'd love to take credit for my ability to spot star potential but the truth is that "cautious" was the watchword & even then it was optimism that he might be a decent enough squad player. Never occurred to me that he'd be tearing it up like this. Both myself and pal when watching on tv last year said at the same " who is this gem, bit of Ian Wright ere ", I do also have pals where we all looked at each other and said " oh dear " after Mbenza nigh on hit the corner flag with his 2nd touch for Town,, One of those where you look back and think, If the lad had bagged a scorcher he would have scored 10 by xmas and been sold to Arsenal.. Lot of luck and a strong personality;

The opposite of "irresistible force vs immovable object". A game between the side that couldn't score goals vs the side that couldn't keep a clean sheet. The o.g. was inevitable, really.

I'm from Yorkshire. I have never given anything - anything - more than a 7/10 in 48 years on this planet earth. A disappointing review of Mrs Bulldog there mate 😁 Strangely enough it's one thing that drives her crazy. But I've told her again and again - work hard, put more effort in and you never know......

This lad needs a pay rise and contract extension asap. I think he will get the Wales nod at the next international break. His value and stock will rise massively

This lad looks special although he does need a little coaching and discipline. His fuse doesn't look the longest Not in Danny Williams’ league?

Just realised why Thomas is so good at free kicks and corners....he has the same little run up as the great, if not legendary, Gary Roberts!
I miss old jug ears!

Well deserved. He's a big reason for the increased optimism around the club over the last month or so.

Sorba has won the Championship Player of the Month award. Will be announced soon. Brilliant news. The lad has been the talk of the Championship just about every week. Considering the level he was playing at this time last season that's one hell of an achievement 👏👏👏

Aden Flint one of the nominees, 4 goals in 5 games as a CB is madness. I recall him scoring 13 one season with Bristol City, not even a set piece taker.

Doesn't count as a "home grown" player apparently. Any idea why?

Even better news us that Carlos did NOT win manager of the month. We definitely don't want that curse to kick in!

Fantastic achievement in his first full month of Championship football. You could see glimpses of this in his bit part appearances last season so it's really good to see it play out in a full match. It's also refreshing to see someone who is quite obviously enjoying playing for Huddersfield Town - rather than some of those we've finally managed to get off our books.
Well done Sorba - let's hope it's just the start.

We've made more than our fair share of cock ups in the transfer market over the past few seasons but we have got a few right too. Looks like Sorba might turn out to be the one that we REALLY did get right!
Excellent achievement by the lad and fully deserved. If they havent noticed already, all teams will start to adapt their gameplan specifically to contend with him now. Guess the next step for him is being able to cope with that and still be as effective.
