Think this thread can be shut now, Ted has summed it up rather nicely.

Nowhere near as good a Town cast-off as Tommy Smith. Nor Tom Ince.
Btw, how are you for strikers? We have a couple you are welcome to.

Oh dear Being honest nobody we had whilst he was here was very good, koroma for a few months aside, but Duhaney did manage to look worse than most. Dont wish him any ill, other than if he plays in the two matches with Town.

Must admit, Chadders, I didn't think he'd be signing for another Championship side on leaving us. I thought he'd have to drop down the leagues to get a new club.

Well he obviously impressed you lot 😊
As for Tommy Smith, after being pants since we signed him, this year he’s been a stand out player.

He was on trial at Wigan afew weeks ago but they decided against giving him a contract or maybe Stoke came in & asked him if he fancied going on trial there?
He has potential but he looked a long way off reaching it when he played the last few seasons. Tbf we could have said the same about Aaron Rowe but it seemed to click for him last season.
Good luck to the lad 👍

It took Ted just 2 minutes to reply to Chadders51's question, it makes me wonder if Ted posts on here as a full time activity or does he have staff to assist him?

No worse than Turton going by what I've seen so far

Lg2 standard player. Wouldn't necessarily look out of place in Lg1 if he had decent players for that level around him but out of his depth in the Championship.
Bizarre signing if I'm honest.

As most say, he struggled with us. Saying that, I only saw him on ifollow and I’m not sure you can totally judge a player until you see them in the flesh. Their may be parts of his game that I missed.
I do concede that this is clutching at straws somewhat but good luck to him all the same.

Must have the same agent as Mbenza to have pulled this out of the bag.

Whilst he was never anything above poor/below average with us, he was also playing in a team that was largely struggling for form and consistency. In a more stable and structured side, like Stoke, he could well develop better. He does seem to want to play the game the right way. He will clearly be Back-up for you, but I wouldn't write him off completely.

Looks to be a positive vibe at Stoke and that allows players to thrive.

I have to agree - he is certainly not Championship standard but in the right team he would be a good back up in League One

Looked decent on the ball going forward although I don’t think he created much.
Absolutely powder puff defender, be surprised if he ever managed a tackle or block a cross.

Amazed he’s found a league club, never mind championship.
Better at posing on Instagram than playing football.

Id have been suprised if Port Vale had taken a punt on him.
Genuinely didn't think he'd find a league club, let alone a good championship side.

We’ve had much worse than him. He’s only 22 so can still succeed with the right coach and team.

Was well well out of his depth 2 seasons ago, and still out of his depth last season although showed signs of some slight improvement towards the end.
It took about 20 appearances for me to work out what he was meant to be good at which isn't ever a great sign. But will probably end up a competent and grafty defensive full back one day, just would be surprised if it's at this level. Way too poor on the ball and in athleticism to be anything more than that though.
