I am a west ham season ticket holder, this move could work out well for mipo, for huddersfield and for west ham, he is only a kid and we dont know how good he is, he certainly knows where the back of the net is, right now there is no way he is getting in ahead of michael antonio, so this loan makes great sense, a lot of us at west ham will be following his progress at hudersfield and i hope he does well for you getting the goals to get you promoted, and comes back to us with the experience at senior level he needs. What are his strong points, mate? From the clips I've seen, he can finish with both feet & he seems quite a big lad but does he hold the ball up well, have a lot of pace, decent in the air? To be fair i have only seen videos of him, but he looks to have a bit of everything, lots of our fans were calling out to see him given valuable minutes last season, but because we were pushing for the top 4 he never got that chance, its a big step up from under 23 to challenging at the top of the PL, had we been in the safety zone of mid table im sure hed have had PL experience last season, if he gets game time at huddersfield i have little doubt he will score plenty, the comparison i have with him is freddy sears who was breaking scoring records at west ham in youth level, he never made it at the top but has had a good career in lower leagues, ill be keenly watching in on this forum to hear how he does, really want him to do well he is certainly a great prospect who could go on to be a top PL talent, but as with all youngsters you dont know if they will make the step up, enjoy this video

Love the interview of him on the official site. All he said was 'score goals'. Its as if he didnt know how to say to anything else, its built into his DNA to score goals.
Fingers crossed ey

With a name like that we should make him captain of the Scrabble team if nothing else. Welcome and good luck young man.

From the clips here and the clips from him time with your academy it’s clear he can finish.Often you tube clips can make a player look better than they are but that tends to be with crossing/dribbling etc.You can’t really exaggerate the fact that he can finish. Hope he does well for us,think we will have had an eye on the fact that he was out of contract next summer but guess that’s no more and likely he either stays with West Ham after this season. Like you say above beneficial for all parties most likely, slightly kicking the can down the road again for us but good strikers are hard to come by I guess.

2 things I’ll never stop being annoyed at: Rhodes not starting v Peterborough and “That” Mounie sending off. With you on the second. The first is the selective memory of a football fan it's finest. You're far from on your own; probably most make out it was an obvious choice, when it absolutely wasn't. Good point... if Rhodes had started we might have won that game... then perhaps our history since then would have matched Posh in our timeline... And we might still have the mad Planet of the Apes extra in the dugout!

I'd be astonished if we were willing to pay £2m for an 18 year old who hasn't had any taste of men's football whatsoever. Almost as ridiculous as Sheffield United paying over £20m for Rhian Brewster. Not quite but at least he'd played 20 games for Swansea in the Championship. Maybe the hierarchy were trying to take a punt, as many people on here have been requesting? If we had brought the lad in on a permanent deal, you can imagine the nay sayers going into meltdown, for the very reason you’ve stated. Yet we sign him on a loan deal and people are chuffed to bits (well almost). Hope the lad does well for us, hopefully the crowd will cut him a bit of slack if he has a couple of bad touches. I won’t hold my breath though…. Either the next Jordan Rhodes or the next Jordy Hiwula.

Everybody else in the squad is fine.

It wasn't a period that Rhodes was firing on all cylinders and we'd been in good form with Afobe leading the line. Whether we should've subbed Rhodes on earlier would've been a much fairer question.

Imagine if he dosent actually score They might call him The New Cantscorino ! I remember years ago a striker with a decent scoring pedigree called Tony Cascarino arrived in Scotland to play for Celtic. Expecting to walk it in the realitive ease of Scottish footy, he froze and was swiftly dispatched back down South with his tail between his legs... another one that should have, but could not cut it up here. The natives weren’t long in tweaking his name all the same.. Let’s hope there’s no such similarities with Mipo !

West Ham work colleague - rates this young lad very highly - can score with both feet and has been banging them in for fun in an age group higher than his 19 years old.....says he wants to prove himself but cannot do that at West Ham.....hence him not signing a contract.
For me if he scores 1 goal and runs his arse off each game it will be twice as much as some of the so called "strikers" we have at Town right now.
I hope he bangs 15 or 20 in and we see the like of Rhodes and Ward consigned to the scrap heap......think Antonio but 10 years younger......how good would that be.
Thank you for joining us MIPO - go on lad lets see what you can do !
