They would not let us play man in the end of season playoffs, if you are old enough you would not forget that. Sorry if you are old enough you probably will have forgotten that.

Peter Butler was from west ham?? Drove the team whilst here but was refused to play in the home leg against the posh and we ran out of steam?? Long time ago...I'd tell you the year if I could be arsed to look. Very warm evening, very annoying evening as I remember.

West Ham work colleague - rates this young lad very highly - can score with both feet and has been banging them in for fun in an age group higher than his 19 years old.....says he wants to prove himself but cannot do that at West Ham.....hence him not signing a contract. For me if he scores 1 goal and runs his arse off each game it will be twice as much as some of the so called "strikers" we have at Town right now. I hope he bangs 15 or 20 in and we see the like of Rhodes and Ward consigned to the scrap heap......think Antonio but 10 years younger......how good would that be. Thank you for joining us MIPO - go on lad lets see what you can do ! He signed a new contract with West Ham before coming on loan Only 2 years though, so by the time his loan spell is up (assuming that he completes the season here) there will only be one year left on his contract. Flip side of that though, is that if he plays well enough for us to want to sign him, there's likely to be a bidding war.

I get the feeling he wants to stay at West Ham but he is being very careful about signing a long contract and ending up, as many Chelsea and other young players do, constantly loaned out. Or on a long contract which may undervalue him if he proves himself. He turned down signing for Man U to go somewhere he thought he would have a better chance of progressing, I guess agreeing to come here is based on similar thinking. My guess is, if he does well here, he will go back to West Ham and negociate a longer deal on better terms. If West Ham don't feel he is right for them it will give him options if he only has 12 months left. He seems a confident and smart lad IMO.

Well you've forgotten that was Southend anyway 😁 Didnt Southend want 150,000 and we only offered 40,000 ? Went to West Ham and helped them big time to get promoted to the top flight the season after. Butlers lad plays Rugby League for Halifax,, or he did, might have moved o somewhere else now.

Should this signing pay off.... and we stay relatively injury free...
Koroma, Thomas, Sinani, Mipo as goal threats Our defence looks much improved, Nicholls miles better than Schofield. Kept a hold of O'Brien
We might just do okay this season!

Kept a hold of O'Brien We might just do okay this season! after what's been happening at Town in recent years it's nice to feel a little bit of optimism.. yeah ok we didn't really think we'd stay in the PL but the capitulation and utterly unbelievable cock ups we've seen since, not to mention the DH saga, we should enjoy this moment. Having seen us utterly thrashed by Fulham then for us to totally outplay Reading, this league hasn't settled down yet but I expect we're going to have more tough games than easy ones...

Early doors, game was won at 3-0 Tuesday so little impact made, would like to see him start or play 45 or so to get a better idea. He’s a bigger lad than I thought he was though!

Like you say impossible to really judge.Came on when chasing game against stoke when they were breaking the game up and killing it off,had one half opportunity just his touch let it down, wasnt easy by any means. Then came on midweek when we were 3-0 up I think and coasting. Saturday maybe the ideal game to get him a start, forest haven’t won a game although sacked manager today and Danny ward didn’t pull up any tree for us midweek nor has he really all season. I’m sure he will get his opportunity sooner rather than later though.

The promise of gametime will definitely be a part of his loan deal, so I can see him starting soon enough, I'm assuming Carlos is just introducing him slowly to get him up to speed.
I'll wait until his first start to see what I think of him as a player.

Yeah I thought he looked a little sluggish/leggy in his movement too...strange as it may seem writing this down, but I *wouldnt* start him ahead of Danny Ward at the moment. Bring him on for 30-40 mins on Saturday when we have a two goal cushion and lets see what happens.
