I noticed hes had a couple of run outs with less than 15 minutes left, very difficult to form an impression with so little game time, has anyone got any thughts please on how hes done ? I think we play a similar style to The Irons but, obviously, not to their quality. So I don't think the style is a problem for him. It is a big step up from U21/U23 football though plus the time it takes to fit into a new group of players. We play a very fast game and this division is very physical, so strikers get knocked around quite a bit. Also all the team have to tend to their defensive duties and if they don't they will get shouted at by one of their teammates. He will need to work hard in training, be very fit and committed if he is going to get much game time. We haven't really seen enough of him to know how he will handle the challenges but he seems to have done well everywhere else he has been so we all hope he succeeds.

They are The Irons, or The Hammers. "The earliest generally accepted incarnation of West Ham United was founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks F.C." Hence the badge.

I think it was definitely a league cup game - even better then if my first game at 6 years old was a win!

When he came to take a throw-in next to the halfway line I was near enough to draw his attention to this fact ..... to which he quite rightly told me to fuck off. He's probably forgotten all about it now but it's a treasured memory for me.

Later they pulled the school down to build one of the stands. Had my last drink as a single man in a pub called 'The Hammers'

3rd appearance and he's hardly touched the ball yet. He showed that 1 man up against 3 centre backs is not easy and Danny Ward probably made a decent fist of it

However, they were ultra organised and they fought for everything. A tough job to come on at that stage of the game.

Needs to wise up and realise what men's football is all about; you get involved. Otherwise he could be going back in January. Plenty of time yet though.

Having Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder in CM doesn't help him, he and Sorba kept making runs but we preferred to just pass sideways and backwards before giving it away.

Perhaps they didn't want to give it Thomas because they were fed up of him passing it backwards every time he received it

Agree he’s doing all he can but he doesn’t have the attributes to play there in my opinion.

I've seen every minute he's played so far and I'm far from judging him yet and I know he's still ver raw but does he strike anyone else as lazy and doesn't want to chase down?
