Well, it’s getting to be like a few years ago under David Wagner when Saturday couldn’t come quick enough for our fans. So, only a couple of days to go, and this time it’s Nottingham Forest who will be attempting to beat the Town on said day. Squad quite strong on paper, but they’ve somehow managed to accumulate just the one point after their loss against Middlesbrough tonight. Many suggested after the Blackpool game that we’re back in the play-off places with a bang and that there's absolutely nothing to suggest we don't deserve to be there. So can we improve on this and cement our position in the Top 6, or will Forest raise their game in a desperate attempt at unsticking themselves from their glued-in position right at the bottom of the league?

Whilst im well impressed with the season so far in most games it has been pretty much nip and tuck in the first half. What we are doing now is 1) Defending as a team not just the defenders 2) Suggesting by our second half performances that we are very fit as a team but most importantly 3) we are not a team that rely on set pieces to score, neither are we a team that scores all our goals from neat passing football, we can now do both.

Before tonights game I kind of thought Notts Forrest (they love that) might be in a bit of a false position. Yes they'd lost 5 games out of 6, but all by just 1 goal and all against teams in the top 9 of the league (Bournemouth, Stoke, Cardiff, Blackburn, Coventry). But tonights is a poor result and they probably are shot of confidence

Bugger. He was doing a great job too. We're always the dream team for any club on a bad run too. Nailed on defeat on Saturday now. Fingers crossed for otherwise, mind...

Think I’ll wait until Friday night or Saturday for prediction, but it might not be so straightforward if the manager goes, and we get the inevitable backlash reaction as has happened in the past a lot to Town..
Even though, I still think we’ll have enough it just won’t be as ‘easy’ as it could’ve been...

New manager expected to be John Terry let’s hope for no new immediate manager bounce, it’s bloody typical it’s against town though !

Hughtons a very good manager with a track record to back that up which suggests the problems must run deep at forest. It'll be a shit result, new manager or not, if we dont beat them this weekend.

Yes good record Hughton however think I saw that it’s 2 wins in 22. Carlos was something like 3 in 28 and seems to so far have worked keeping hold of him. Forest aren’t exactly known for been patient so unsurprising he will go. Hopefully they don’t get that bounce like someone says. They have struggled to score goals last season and so far this which is odd considering the two strikers they have,if we can keep it tight at the back like we have done in the majority of games this season I think can hope for a positive result.

Hughton is a 4-4-2 merchant and the game has moved on.

Hughton is a 4-4-2 merchant and the game has moved on. The biggest criticism he’s receiving at the moment is that he’s playing 4-2-3-1 constantly.

Official on their Twitter that’s he’s gone. Don’t think they will get a replacement in before Saturday.

this can work against us of course, depending who takes over the role and how the players react to him...but it can also demoralise Forest players and whoever takes over for saturday hasn't a clue and the players hate him anyway...

We just need to play our game. Same level of determination and drive we have shown recently. Forest may be organised differently but their confidence will be rock bottom and I doubt they know who the next manager will be, which is unsettling. We just need to apply ourselves as we have done with our supporters making plenty of noise. Hopefully no extra injuries.

I do worry about the new man at the helm bounce, but he’s got only Today and Tomorrow to work on anything. Using the same players at his disposal. I still fancy us but it would be Sod’s law a newly rejuvenated Forest come and get their first win of the season.

Possibly Steve Cooper, ex-Swansea who will be their new manager. Whoever it is, they won't be in charge for Saturday

An interim manager for Sat but the Forest players will know that the new man will be watching. They can't be worse than last night.

Possibly Steve Cooper, ex-Swansea who will be their new manager. Whoever it is, they won't be in charge for Saturday They don’t really want him as he will scare away all the young supporters. “ I swear to god if they appoint that sloth looking freak then I will personally mail them my shit” “ Fuck me Cooper with that contorted face .. He looks like he’s been dipped upside down in hydrochloric acid. Well unlike Terry, at least the players won’t have to worry about him knobbing their birds 😂😂” “ He looks like a melted welly” Are just some of their thoughts on Cooper.

Do you remember a poorly run club from beeston sacking their manager the night before playing us and giving us a 5-1 hiding? I’m not holding my breath that we’ll get a result if you look at their squad.

An interim manager for Sat but the Forest players will know that the new man will be watching. They can't be worse than last night. Steven Reid will take temporary charge of the first team as interim head coach. He stepped down from his role with the Scotland national team to focus on his work at Nottingham Forest in 2021.
