I’m really confident of a win on Saturday.
So I’m predicting 0-3.

Possibly Steve Cooper, ex-Swansea who will be their new manager. Whoever it is, they won't be in charge for Saturday They don’t really want him as he will scare away all the young supporters. “ I swear to god if they appoint that sloth looking freak then I will personally mail them my shit” “ Fuck me Cooper with that contorted face .. He looks like he’s been dipped upside down in hydrochloric acid. Well unlike Terry, at least the players won’t have to worry about him knobbing their birds 😂😂” “ He looks like a melted welly” Are just some of their thoughts on Cooper. But some might think 'He managed Swansea to two playoff campaigns so he might do similar for us', i wouldnt be judging a manager on his good looks....or lack of.

Some proper bed wetters on here. Their confidence will be shot to shit no matter who the new manager is. They’re not gonna become world beaters in 48 hours! Play like we can , an early goal and we’ll beat them comfortably.

Yep, our peckers are up and they`re at a really low ebb, we really ought to be beating them on saturday, but complacency is our greatest enemy and im sure the team will realise this.

Don't panic folks. They've been appalling. They won't be able to turn it round enough, they've been that bad.

Makes no difference who is looking after the 1st team at Forest. Town should win this. Playing well, fit squad, on we go.

Tickets look to be selling well. Less than 100 blue dots on the ticket map in the south stand. I can see plenty of walk up pay on the day punters aswell.
Looking on Forest twitter they only had 700 left 3 days ago.
Hopefully a decent crowd Saturday.

I agree, his credentials speak for themselves. Not sure Forest have the financial resources he would want. Swansea didn’t. Chris Hughton’s record spoke for itself too. Can’t figure out what has gone wrong for Forest under his tenure. A good manager doesn’t just go bad overnight. He’ll bounce back and be successful again. I remember looking on with envy when Forest appointed him.

Forest are on the look out for their 42nd manager in 2 years. They might put up a sterner test than they might have done if Hughton had remained but I still expect Town to win this, be disappointed if we don't.
Stick a tenner on Pearson anytime scorer, he'll hit double figures at this rate.

Hughtons a very good manager with a track record to back that up which suggests the problems must run deep at forest. It'll be a shit result, new manager or not, if we dont beat them this weekend. Do you remember a poorly run club from beeston sacking their manager the night before playing us and giving us a 5-1 hiding? I’m not holding my breath that we’ll get a result if you look at their squad. Aye but Danny Ward scored 😉

This is the sort of game we'd traditionally lose in a “typical Town” fashion.
They’re on awful form. We’ve won 4 in 5 league games. At home. Decent crowd.
Let’s hope we buck that trend and continue the clean sheets and scoring!

I swear to god they always sack their manager just before we play them. To be fair I think we've sacked a couple of ours just after we've played them. As others have said it would have been better if CH had still been in charge on Sat but how much difference can a 'new' (temp) coach make in a couple of training sessions before we play them? Get at them and make sure we score first, they will crumble.

You can never take anything for granted, Forest could play with some sort of freedom on Sat that could make it v. difficult.
Don't think my opinion about the current Town team will change for a good while, we need to get the first goal in this game, then keep it solid as we did on Tues...
Tough game ahead...

Carlos kept saying last season that the team that had the extra 24 hours to prepare have an advantage, that falls in our favour this weekend so lets get at them early, test their resolve & make them chase the ball.
We tend to come stronger in the second half of games which I'm sure fitness plays a big part in that so hopefully we can carry that on in Saturdays game.
No givens in the Championship though, it'll be a tough one, the forest players will want to prove a point after their manager getting the sack so early but if we carry on as we have been I think we should have enough to edge them out.
2-1 town. Koroma, Mipo.

We need to be beating the likes of Notts Forest. I cant help myself, every time this topic comes up I think of the comments we got on here from forest and the wendies back in the early days in this division.
Every championship game is tough, that's why forest are bottom. As we know, pussies who won't fight for the team will end up bottom rapido in this league. My guess with Houghton is, he's a money manager, while everyone needs to bring their own players in and he hasn't had that privilege at forest, has he done well without a minimum £80m outlay in players and wages. I doubt it.

As someone said earlier an early goal for us should see us win .
Don’t want to let them get any confidence by letting them play first half.

I cant help myself, every time this topic comes up I think of the comments we got on here from forest and the wendies back in the early days in this division. Absolutely. I know some on here have a soft spot for Forest because of Clough (& TBF when I first moved to the area I caught a few games (when we weren't playing)). ...but I soon grew to realise that their supporters are the MOST deluded set of arrogant scab bar-stewards you could ever hope not to meet. Make Wednesday & Leeds look rational & grounded. I was out in Town on Monday & was introduced to a Forest ST holder. Of course I asked "Didn't you once win the European Cup?".....& fair play she knew where I was coming from & said "Yes but we don't like to mention it" (Like f**k you don't there's a pull out every f*****g week in the Evening post celebrating some anniversary or other), so I followed it up with "....but you've slipped a bit haven't you, how many seasons have you had in the Premier League in the 21st century.....". She said "Not Many"......... ......& then her face dropped when she slowly realised that the correct answer is None - the square root of F**K all. TYPICAL they have no conception of how sh*8te they have become (& TBF for the majority of their history have always been -less cup finals than us & take away the Clough years only 5 top 6 finishes in their entire history). Not only have they been out of the PL all that time but they've spent very nearly two thirds of that time in the bottom half of the championship (or lower). Big Club my snowy white West Yorkshire a**e. PS .......but I am of course worried about Hughton's departure.

Hughton's sacking adds a level of unpredictability to a fixture that I had bee confident about taking 3 points from.
This might make them better. Or it might make them worse. A defeat would not surprise me, but nor would "another Reading". On balance I'm still confident. Adds a bit of interest though.

Forest might play better now the manager has gone, they might seek to impress any potential new manager who may be in the stands, we may win, we might lose but its ONE game. We are a far better side than we were a year ago, unlikely to be anywhere near the bottom three, have decent options on the bench. That will do for me as the first steps forward for a number of years.

I think, as all games are in this division, it will be a slog. First half I expect to be tight but our fitness and confidence will put them under increasing pressure, as it did on Tuesday at Blackpool. I don't expect a walkover but I do think we will win this.

I remember looking on with envy when Forest appointed him. Forest will never achieve anything again until they accept they are a run of the mill club trading on past glories who are at their correct level. They are well supported but the expectation there is completely unrealistic, they attract players who think they’re better than they are and pay them too much. They could really do with being relegated for their own sakes and building from a lower point. Shef Weds are exactly the same (and it looks like they might be getting momentum back following relegation) and Derby are the same too.
